The major findings of the study reveal that in spite of these two types of projects differ significantly in regard to the degree of owner involvement, types of used resources, and the degree of risks that a project manager should bear, there is a common set of CSFs, which project managers of both types of projects should take into consideration in order to ensure success of their projects. This common set of CSFs includes Project Manager’s Competencies, Performance Management, Effective Communications, Collaborative Work Environment, Meeting Stakeholders Expectations, Strategic Project Management, and Top-management Support.
