Introduction: The management is the process of planning, organizing and controlling the critical situations in any given condition. Any organization can’t run without a proper management planning. It is the backbone for any organization. The organization can be treated as a system and the management is the functional entity which controls the system in a systematic manner. The theories of management is always going through changes, it is an old practice which runs simultaneously with the advancement of the human civilization. Throughout the history the management process has been initiated at various point of time. Humans are always curious about new thoughts and that virtue has given them the opportunity to fine tune the management process with the historic development of the human civilization. Management and philosophy, these two are definitely run in opposite direction but the art of philosophy had given enormous space to mankind to create new and better way to manage any problem or it has shown a path for the betterment of the management processes. It is very difficult to trace the history of the journey of the management and its changes accordingly, but still some evolution of the management through can be traced by the history. Fundamentals of management: One of the most prominent and famous book of the management and economics is the book named as The Wealth of Nation, this book was written by a famous Scottish philosopher Mr. Adam Smith, he was also the famous economist even. In this book it is written that to manage an organization in a proper way the three main factors to be focused on are production, pricing and labor or the quality man power. There are some factors are very important to understand the fundamentals of the management and they are, managers and managements, the management environment, the art of decision making, the planning process, the structure of the organization and obviously the culture, the manpower management that is the human resource and the most important factor is the managing and accepting the changes and creating innovations. That’s the way the management process has been evolved from the primary stage to the modern stage. Economics and management are always run with together because as they are very much supportive to each other. This is very important to know that how people got motivated to upgrade the management process. The main reason why the mankind have always supported the evolution of the management theories are the positive rewards which they have got from these advancements. The management is not only applicable for the organizations who are running business to generate money, it is an ancient process by which mankind got to know how to live better with better managing skills, and that is the reason that, from the stone age to the metal age and now to the modern age the human being have gone through the advancements with a proper success. The positive effect of management is the only factors which helped the human civilization to overcome all the problems. The boon of the God towards the mankind is the ability to manage the situation at any circumstances. The management might be a very important technical word in today’s business world but its existence stared with the evolution of the mankind. With the advancement of the historical events and advancements of the human culture the management techniques have always accompanied as the positive approach. The building of communities, the building of the brother hood of the church and managing the development of the church, building the pyramids and even building and controlling the army to protect the specific community are being possible with the proper effects of the management theories (Wilson & Thomson, 6). The management is been always recognized in the development of the human history. One of the most important questions to be answered to the most of the modern researchers is “Why to study the history of the management evolution?” They most preferred answer would be a question! “Why do we need to study the history?” Each and every human being enhances himself with the help of the values of the historical facts. It is very important to know the root of any historic advancement of the human being to understand the positive effects of it in the near future. One of the main reasons, why the thought of the importance of the management activity is a vital factor for the advancement of the mankind is, the management process helps the human being to enjoy the privilege of the competitive advantages. The importance of history and theories of the management: There are many people who ask why to know the history of the management while the importance is always given to the innovation of the management processes. These arguments are based on the facts that the history has no effective relevance towards the advancement of the human society as most of the most of the facts are very brief in nature and they don’t have much practical relevance (Griffin, 9). The art of managing the situation comes from the inner instinct and the personal insight. One of the most important facts in the evolution of the management history is the importance of the experience. The art of the management is very conceptual; it requires the perfect mix of proper time management, technical diagnosis, proper communication process, proper interpersonal knowledge about the management. For an example a manager or whoever is responsible to make the job in a proper manner has to perform in such a way so he or she can identify the positive approach among the many available approaches which might be equally important. The human being has always made mistakes and with the lesson from these mistakes they got to know how to be perfect. When Srarbucks, the famous coffeehouse chain the United States was planning to start its first store in New York, the researchers clearly told them that New York people like drip coffee than the espresso coffee, but even after that they installed more espresso outlets and few outlets for the drip coffees and the effect was not satisfactory, that New Yorkers started clamoring or rather screaming to get the old style drip coffees (Griffin, 9). A theory is basically a conceptual work of philosophy and it helps to work in an organizing way to solve the problems. There are many management theories which look like irrelevant and non practical in nature but they have the intangible effects towards the improvement of the methods of evaluating the proper management process. The Historical context of management theories: The practice of management process is inevitable for the human being, from the ancient Egyptian era they are practicing the successful management methods. It is very complicating to understand how they were able to make the historic eye popping land marks like Sphinx, the pyramid and many more. The main factor which was acted like a magic potion was the proper management methods. There are many more examples where the example of proper management practice can be sited. Even after the impact of the serious importance of the value of the history of the management methods, the serious study of management did not begin till the nineteenth century. The main persons to begin the study were Robert Owen and Charles Babbage. Owen was one of the first managers as well as the British industrialist and reformer who understood the importance of the human resource management and the value of the welfare for the workers to get the ultimate output. In other hand, Charles Babbage was an English mathematician who concentrated on the effective production. He gave his focus the effective management methods for the proper division of labor for production of appropriate materials as per the demand. Charles Babbage had implied mathematical approach towards the evolution of the management history. (Griffin, 10). The importance and the relevance of the critical realization of the importance of the management science are always important for the advancement of the world culture. It is very important to understand the management theories and management processes are related to the study of science. The philosophies of the management are mostly related to the science and the social factors. This is to be noted that the science behind the management in not so predictive like other universal laws, rather they are very much explanatory and understandable at par with the situations. (Fleetwood & Ackroyd. 166). Conclusion: The management is the most trustworthy friend which has given the human being the touch of the GOD to beautify the process of work. The mission of any project and any work depends on the proper use of management, and the evolution of the management theories throughout the history is very much important to understand the future effects of the management theories. The objective of any works refers to the end of the work in such a manner where the management method would be cost effective and serves the proper objective. In the recent time the people are studying management and making many different ways of solving the problems same way our ancient ancestors used to solve the problem, but they used to struggle a lot to find the proper way and after struggling for so long they came up with the ultimate solutions which might not easy for the recent managers as they don’t have the experience of making mistakes for several time but ultimately come up with the best possible solution, and there lies the importance of the value of the history of the evolution of the management theories.
