The eventual emphasis within the modern theories of leadership has been centered on the premise of bringing about a change that remains abreast of the times that will come ahead (Lynch, 2006). Changing the dynamic mindset of the organizational processes and behaviors is a significant undertaking and this has rightly been pointed out by these modern theories under the leadership tenet. The visionary role of leadership has made things easier, focused on the long term actions and sought clarification from the goal setting and objectives’ regimes (Zaleznik, 1989). The new theories of leadership look to solve the anomalies which were present within the traditional and olden theories within the same ranks. The difference is apparent in the way leaders and managers go about doing things in their respective positions.

The modern theories of leadership look to challenge the basis of the traditional theories since the former seem tacit, cohesive and complete from all the angles. The traditional theories had gaps within the theoretical as well as the practical domains of getting things done from the employees and the subordinates. The delegation was another tangent that left a lot to be desired of the same. There were serious issues with regards to delegating tasks and activities in line with the changing management comprehensions. Earlier, a delegation was not considered as an important part of the global domain of leadership. At present, it forms up as an essential congruent within the related scheme of leadership.
