Introduction The implementation plan is the tool used by the management to give guidance in illustrating the steps of developing and starting a project. The plan aids the management and staffs to be more proactive. That is achieved through identification of challenges along the way. This essay, therefore, seeks to describe authority structure of the plan, and those who handle plan implementation. The essay also discusses how communication, annual education evaluation, external entities and lastly challenges play roles in the plan implementation (Swayne, Duncan & Ginter, 2012). Authority, Structure and Organisation Board of directors plays a very rudimentary role in plan implementation. They formulate organization’s vision and mission. They audit all components of plan implementation. The board of directors also ensures the planned strategy is effective and efficient. At the beginning of the process, they help the team, members in choosing the ideal course and direction. Similarly, they provide an overview of specific opportunities and planning process. After implementation program, they review all strategies to ensure consistency of the implementation plans and main aims. Additionally, they give planning teams insight on the current trends. Lastly, they evaluate opportunities and threats (Swayne, Duncan & Ginter, 2012). Executive Leadership The executive leaders execute the strategies of implementation. They ensure there is clear communication between the implementation committee. In future consideration, the leaders make long-term and short-term goals. Also, they play a crucial role in strategy implementation that helps the idea to become part of the organisation. In the long run the leaders align, measure make plan implementable. Quality Improvement Committee The committee addresses issues of quality when the plans are being implemented. They evaluate the plan and give a further recommendation on how to improve the quality. The committee also evaluates, provide a report and implement involvement. Furthermore, they help in developing action plans in the health sector. Finally, they support and give guidance in the implementation of quality and standard clinic activities (Swayne, Duncan & Ginter, 2012). Medical Staff They give strategic direction. They ensure there is quality in all implementation plans. In addition, they coach and train implementation committee. Middle-Level Managers Middle-level managers execute the plan. They participate in the strategic plan in plan implementation. They act as connectors and conveyors and help in the implementation strategy. Additionally, they use experience gained from implementation strategy to provide a suitable strategic plan. Departmental Staff They lead other staffs assessing plan implementation and how to improve the services. They do communicate to members about the intended plan implementation. Also, they play a significant role in ensuring a successful implementation. Communication Communication is vital to plan implementation. It is required during and after the plan has been finalized. In the health sector, all employees need to be familiar with plan strategy. The achievement can be through implementation of policies and procedures. Plan implementation also works well when workers are directly involved. Therefore, the performance activity outcomes are communicated to all healthcare employees. However, the goals of the plan should be realistic. The management does the communication by stating its objectives and prepares guideline that must be followed. The middle managers and departmental staff provide oversight of data collection and preparation of data reports (Swayne, Duncan & Ginter, 2012). . Education The staffs should identify their roles in the plan. They must assess the skills and knowledge required. Then seek discussion with the leader of the plan implementation. Before the training commences, the staff members will receive the copy of implementation plan. Then they will be divided into groups of two staff member. Each group will come up with its recommendations. They will then react the plan and seek further clarification on any point that is not clear. The training will be carried on to give knowledge to the staff. Questions should be allowed to flow to provide knowledge of the plan. Additionally, the employee must identify their training needs to foster staff spirit that fits them into the plan based on job responsibilities. Evaluation There are several elements of the plan that are annually evaluated for improvement. They include the outcomes of the plan in healthcare. The role of the performance plan, budgets and plan policies play a critical role in evaluation. The annual strategic plan and performance plan. Time-bound of planning and the process required. In addition, the need for understanding the difference between evaluation document and its relationship helps to identify key areas that need improvement. Monitoring is an important strategy. It checks the necessary changes required. It encourages performance improvement by varying the action triggered. The key points help in decision making. External entities External entities the government provides the organisation with plans to prevent duplication. This delays the implementation plan due to the bureaucracy in the government. Challenges Inadequate planning, when people involved in the fail to plan properly due to lack of skills. This affects plan implementation. Lack of commitment, the process involves dedication and hard work. However, lazy managers will affect the planning process in the long run. Sometimes managers fail to consider external factors. They just maintain the status quo that prevents learning. Focusing on short-term strategy, failure to focus on long-term plans lead to a problem in the future implementation of the plan (Swayne, Duncan & Ginter, 2012). The strategies that ensure successful implementation of new quality measures- Quality are services that bring positive effects to the plan. First, clarify priorities and vision of the plan. Second, develop survey strategy; it determines the importance of the plan. Third, improve on the plan; this should be done according to feedback and SMART goals. Additionally, monitor the plan monthly or daily to ensure effective implementation. Finally, success factors, they help the committee to achieve its goals and objectives. Conclusion It has been confirmed that the authority structure of the plan, and those who handle plan implementation, play very important role in the strategic plan. Communication is also important because it allowed free flow of information across the departments, other critical issues discussed is; education, annual evaluation, external entities and lastly challenges that play roles in the plan implementation.
