DIVERSITY IN MANAGEMENT DEVELOPMENT By Location Diversity covers different dimensions such as culture, religion, ethnicity, gender, age, sexual orientation, and race (DWL 2015). Diversity management works with the leadership of organizations to create tools that guarantee that the workplace is equitable and all-inclusive. Diversity management may involve the establishment of a business strategy for managing a work environment that is diverse (DWL 2015). By fostering a diverse workforce that creates an innovative and productive environment, diversity at workplace helps a business to have a competitive advantage over other firms.

Diversity in management ensures that there is the removal of barriers and permit equality in employment and promotion for job seekers and employees. Diversity ensures that all employees are empowered to reach their full potential and grow both personally and professionally. It serves as a key to growth in the modern competitive worldwide marketplace (Cole & Salimath 2013). Firms that seek to dominate the world market relevancy need to embrace diversity in how they act and innovate. It is important for any organization to attract and hire a diverse workforce that reflects the communities where the organization operates in order for them to have a sense of ownership.

Effective diversity management leads to an environment that accommodates and supports individual differences and capitalizes on the talents that exist in a workforce. A diverse staff boasts of expert knowledge of the surrounding communities and helps a firm to expand to other markets and customers.
