Complexity of managing an organizationComplexity of managing an organization requires that managers be able to view performance in various areas instantaneously. A balanced score card provides invaluable information for performance appraisal. A balanced score card having four aspects that is customer’s focus, internal business processes, learning, growth, and financial viewpoint. Focusing on customer’s aspect, the Chief Information Officer should make sure that the customer is satisfied and improve the customer’s perspective of the firm since the customers are the most important reason as to why any business organization exists.

The internal business perspective calls for the Chief Information Officer to identify the ideal ventures for our business (Pearlson & Sounders, 23). The cost of production should be kept at most fifty percent of the total cost for the vision of the organization to be achieved. On innovation and learning perspective, the Chief Information Officer should be responsible for making sure that the organization upgrades and the value constantly increasing. He or She should look for ways of action to take to ensure this goal is attained.

Focusing on financial aspect, the Chief Information Officer should position make sure the organization in positioned well in the shareholder’s perpective.He or she should prioritize accurate and timely funding for the business (Pearlson & Saunders, 27).Question two.A diagnostic assistant is an example where artificial intelligence is applied (Obermeyer et al., 45). The aid the human beings identify problems and give suggestions on the restoration or treatment to solve the problems. A Turing test for this is an electrician’s assistant that proses what may be wrong in the premise, such as a default fuse, destroyed switch light or a burnt out light given some signs of electrical complications.

Medical diagnostician is another example of artificial intelligence that discovers impending diseases, useful tests and suitable treatments based on knowledge of a specific medical domain a patients symptoms and history. This assistant should be capable of explaining its reasoning to the individual carrying out the tests and repairs and who is eventually responsible for their actions.Question three.Bullwhip effect is a perceived occurrence in forecast-driven delivery channel. Bullwhip effect across the supply chain can be eliminated by incorporating ERP and SCM which facilitates the understanding of what needs to be done, managing the deviations in the organization,commication among all stakeholders particularly top management.

Leadtime should be condensed where its sensibly advantageous (Pearlson & Saunders, 33).Push Based model focuses on various components, decisions on production and distribution should be based on long-term forecasts, manufacturers demand forecasts grounded on just in time production and longer reaction time to dynamic markets.Pull based model also places emphasizes on just in time production and distribution which should be demand driven. It also propagates instinctive attractive which aims at reduced lead-time, reduced stock, and less variability in the system.

Question four.Total cost of ownership is a management accounting model applicable in full cost accounting to incorporate both direct and indirect costs. It looks away from capital investment to comprise costs connected with mechanical maintenance, management: training and system retirement. Careful estimates of TCO deliver the ideal investment numbers for comparison with return on capital during the analysis on the net returns on numerous IT options. Subsequently, the expense of ownership for a personal computer includes the price tag of the personal computer, the maintenance cost like installation of software among others.
