It is frequently argued that for government, society and business to function in continuously evolving complex situations, organizational transformation is required based on a unique paradigm: system thinking. Organizational transformation is a process of continuous adoption of changes towards sustainability and development thereby increasing efficiency and involving better services and techniques (Stacey, 2001).
System thinking is an essential element of organizational transformation or learning organization. The complexity of ever-growing economy and innovative technologies and work processes has complicated decision-making process. System Thinking provides a unique decision making model which managers can apply to deal with change and its adaption (Batra, Kaushik & Kalia, 2010). This paper focuses on discussing the system thinking approach applied by TCS (Tata Consultancy Services) in their CSR (Corporate Social Responsibility) activities by leveraging their technological advances. This paper describes the present traditional approach of problem solving and its drawbacks. Further, the paper illustrates the relevant future scope of System Thinking.
Technology and media development in the present era has made it feasible to access information worldwide. Seamless integration of technology and information has proved advantageous for numerous industries. Better availability of information has resulted in operational efficiency, value addition and better competition. Technologies have affected the society by influencing social and personal life of individuals.
