An open ended question is a question that cannot be answered using a simple answer because of the nature of the question (Paton, Paton and McCalman 132). Closed-end question or questions that require simple answers such as yes or no. however, each question has the role to play in the research process. The open ended question is useful when collecting diverse information. Closed questions ensure accurate data collection with the success but limit the scope of operation. When diverse data are needed, open ended question is helpful. Opened-ended questions are the best in diverse data collection which involves the creation of open ended questions that can be answered by the respondents. Problem solving approach is easy because the solution of the problem is speedily developed as a result of the evaluation of the problem. The inability to address issues effectively, when not identified as problems, makes problem solving approach best suited approach in solution provision. Question four a. Gallos address the issues of change by stipulating four main frames namely; Structural, human resource, political and symbolic. These frames parallel the mental model studies because of the difference in focus. For the mental model the focus is in the human resource while for Gallo’s approach addresses the issue by evaluating the four main frames. The structural frame handles issues of rules and regulation, job design standards and span of control. Human resource deals with the needs, skills, relationship and norms. It covers the issues of participation and motivation, the political frame covers the key stakeholders, resource availability, and interdependence among other issues of political interest. Symbolic frame covers issues of culture, ceremonies, myths, spirituality, charisma and commitments. The mental models cover one issue of the frame which is human resources only with minimum involvement of other frames highlighted by Gallos. b. The structural frame has a few blind spots which include the failure to address other unstipulated regulations and controlled sphere of operation. Rules ad regulation for companies change drastically depending on the market forces. The human resource frame is affected by several issues including the issue of welfare, reward strategy and the working environment of the employees which are not integrated by Gallos. Political frame has blind spots on the issues of government interference and international politics which may affect the operation of the organization. The symbolic frame does not factor in the impact of experience and tradition on the operational structure of the company. Works Cited Paton, Robert A., Rob Paton and James McCalman.
