In one’s personal words then, critical thinking means a cognitive process that entails the creation of an idea, the examination of intricate details, and the ability to integrate of combine lines of thoughts, arguments or assertions based on what one personally experienced, learned, observed, or ingrained as part of one’s identified pursuit. In cases when relevant decisions need to be made, critical thinking assists in determining the best course of action given the most objective analytical tools that would assist in coming up with the most effective recommendation or solution.
