It is actually a theoretical consolidation of the various past researches on the concerned topic. It is singular and narrative in nature, which would be explaining the domain of the research topic. The literature review in the research paper would theoretically analyze the impact of global financial crisis in the labourer’s migration (Kumar, 2005). The property bubble in the Spanish economy was responsible for the high fiscal debt in most of the developed nations in the world. At around 2009, severe financial crisis wedged the economy of U.S.A. The terms of economic affairs become highly juggled at this point of time. However, the financial crisis created a strong impact on the workers migration. It was found that many workers working in the urban sector of U.S. migrated back to their home lands as a result of job losses. The in-migration of the foreign workers in U.S.A was controlled and the government started to offer special incentives to the existing workers to take voluntary retirements from work. This initiative was taken by the government to increase the American labour force in the long run by almost 5% by 2033 (Porter, 2013). As a result there were many incidents of disturbances in the economy due to the rising number of job losses. It was found that the gross unemployment rate increased by almost 4% in U.S.A. during the crisis. The information on the basis of which the literature review will be written would be based on secondary data sources. Any information collected from the primary data sources would not be used in the context of the literature review (Hakim, 2000). However, it should be considered that the secondary sources for the literature review will generally be scholarly books and articles. The researcher aims to give a new dimension to the concerned topic of research (Mertens, 2005). The review would try to resolve the shortcomings of the previous research works. In the context of the literature review, the researcher would be identifying the common themes and differences of the previous research works. Despite being completely narrative in nature, the literature review would be focussed, analytical and critical in panorama. Thus, the literature review of the paper would throw a light on the views of the scholars on the concerned topic of discussion and would also include the researcher’s own perceptions (Burns, 1997). Research Philosophy The research paper would be using quantitative and qualitative analysis methods, thus the analysis would be made on the basis of interpretive approach (positivist approach). The main objective of the paper would be to analyze the impact of worker migration in the economy of U.S.A. after the financial crisis. This is because a quantitative research work merely completes the whole analysis on the basis of a small sample selected from the huge population. Unlike quantitative analysis, the method of qualitative analysis makes an in-depth analysis on the concerned topic of research. This method does not merely involve introducing and manipulating different variables (Matthyssens and Vandenbempt, 2003). This is a method of analysis that does an implicit, detailed reasoning on the various topics of the research. A qualitative research work is more flexible, dynamic and superior research method than a quantitative research approach. The scale and scope of a qualitative research work is much wider than that of a quantitative work. This is an approach of research that helps to focus on the why and how of the incidents related to the research topic. A qualitative methodology of research work includes behavioural and motivational attributes in the breakdown process. In the context of the research work, the different methodologies that would be used for the qualitative research are: Reviews Observations Open-ended and Closed-ended Questionnaire Survey Focus Group Interviews However, it should be considered that the reviews and observations would be the primary approaches of qualitative analysis. For analyzing the impact of the financial crisis in the market of U.S.A., the researcher would conduct several open-ended and closed-ended focus group interviews of the higher officials, who work in the financial institutions of the country. The researcher would also conduct interviews of the households of all income groups of the country for the research. He would make the analysis on the basis of the reviews and the observations by using his own technical and non-technical academic knowledge. The four approaches of qualitative analysis would provide a complete amalgamation of the impacts of global financial crisis on the commercial and non-commercial entities in the U.S.A. economy. The review would explain the impact of the financial crisis in U.S.A. as analyzed by the different market analysts and researchers. The observations would be including the researcher’s own perspectives about the reviews. The general open-ended and closed-ended surveys would elaborate the impact of the financial scarcity from the viewpoints of the commoners in the market. Expected Data Sets and Methods for Analysis In order to make a more detailed analysis, the researcher may adopt the triangulation approach. This is basically a mixture of quantitative and qualitative analysis. The quantitative analysis can be made on the basis of the results generated from the various closed-ended and open-ended focus group interviews. Sampling and data collected are the indispensable parts of a research work. The research work will employ a qualitative analysis method but the interview (focus group) sessions would include certain sampling activities. Sampling is the method of selecting the required data for the analysis from the entire population (Atherton and Elsmore, 2007). Thus, a sample is simply a subset of the whole population. However, there are a few issues in the sampling methods which must be resolved. The selected sample should correctly represent the characteristic features of the population. This means that the estimation of the research work should be effective and appropriate. Estimation is the process that sets an idea about the population parameters based on the sample observations. There are various approaches on the basis of which the sample survey can be executed, but the researcher would select the ‘purposive’ sampling method in this paper. This is a special type of a judgmental sampling method that helps a researcher to select a sample based on his own research analysis. This research method helps the researcher to select his own sample that seems to be most relevant for the analysis. In order to understand (empirically) the impact of the global financial crisis on the economy of U.S.A., the researcher can decide to conduct questionnaire surveys. This would actually include a questionnaire survey (consisting of twenty related questions) with both closed and open ended questions. The sample would actually involve 200 higher officials and 10 famous commercial banks in U.S.A. Twenty workers from each bank (20 workers x 10 banks = 200 workers in all 10 banks) would have to answer to the concerned questionnaire survey. The questionnaire survey would involve an interactive session, where the officials would emphasize on their own viewpoints regarding the topic (Andriopoulos and Slater, 2013). The researcher would be introducing 30 focus group interviews. Each session would involve a time period of 30 minutes. Every focus group interviewing sessions would include 50% (10) monetary policy makers of the country and the rest (10) would comprise of the analysts in the market. Therefore, every session would have 20 individuals and a mediator who would be responsible for conducting the interactive session. The policy makers would be justifying their role at the time of the financial crisis and the analysts would be voicing their own opinions regarding the success of the decisions and tasks undertaken by the policy makers. However, it should be considered that the researcher would aim to execute the analysis procedure of the research work by involving minimum time and cost. Ethical Considerations One of the primary hurdles while conducting a meaningful and effective research is ethics. It is claimed that in the course of the research work, the researcher would abide by the principles of ethics. The individuals who would help the researcher in his research work might be disclosing few facts about their personal views and information. It is the duty of the researcher to monitor that all the personal and confidential information involved in the research work, would remain undisclosed in public (Muijs, 2010). The information gathered from the individuals may be analyzed by the researcher but the names should not be disclosed. The individuals, invited for the focus group interviews as well as the questionnaire survey, would participate only on their own consent. This means that the researcher would not force anybody for participating in the course of action. They would be voluntarily contributing to the analysis procedure. Moreover, it should also be considered that the data and the information recorded in the paper by the researcher must be completely authentic. All the facts and quotations in the paper should be completely genuine. The objectives proposed at the initial stage of the research should be correctly accomplished at the end of the analysis (Riley et al., 2000).
