? Project Brief 0. Definition of Project Brief 1. Aim of the Project The project focuses on facilitating and promoting the use of the new training program that is currently applied in the Northwest region of the United Kingdom to other parts of the United Kingdom. 1.2. Mission of the Project The project is geared towards attaining a specific mission. The mission is focuses towards ensuring that the new training program applicable in Northwest region of the United Kingdom is extended to other areas of the United Kingdom. Therefore, the mission of this project is to improve employee performance through implementing effective employee training programs in all parts of the United Kingdom. 1.3. Objectives The overall goals and mission of this project shall be achieved through various objectives. The objectives shall be undertaken in the course of this project. Specifically, the objectives of this project are: Exposing new employees that join the company in the United Kingdom to the four stage trainee development scheme All employees with the Company as well as in other parts of the United Kingdom would be exposed to a Project Based learning program at the end of every year in order to prepare them for upcoming projects in sub-sequent years The project shall also involve an analysis and evaluation of the new employee training program in order to identify its efficacy in Northwest United Kingdom and other parts of the country Before embarking on the extension of this training program to other parts of the United Kingdom, an awareness program shall be undertaken in different companies in order to ensure that companies are provided with adequate and imperative knowledge of the new employee training program The project shall also entail the study of other new employee training programs in order to carry out a performance analysis basically directed towards identifying the possible best courses of actions that should be undertaken to facilitate employee training program 1.4. Stakeholder Analysis It is a fact that the project shall entail the interaction and participation of various stakeholders. They include: Stakeholder Role Managers The success of this project requires the active participation of different company as well as project managers. The managers shall be trained and equipped with knowledge and skills in regard to the new employee training programs. They are expected to extend this knowledge by training their employees in their respective companies. Moreover, they may also facilitate the project through provision of resources such training venues et cetera. The Project Board This project shall be facilitated by a project bored, basically responsible for planning and implementation of various programs involved within the project i.e. provision of time plans, sourcing for resources from various stakeholders and also implementation of the project plans. Additionally, the project bored shall also engage in negotiations with different stakeholders in order to seek their consent to conduct these trainings. Enterprise Holdings This is an imperative part of the stakeholders that shall be engaged in this project. Enterprise Holdings forms the basis of this project. The project focuses on the extension of new employee training programs to different parts of the United Kingdom. Various Companied in different parts of the United Kingdom are expected to benefit from this project. Project Coordinator The project coordinator is one of the most pertinent facilitators of this project. The coordinator shall ensure that the five objectives and the overall goals of this project are achieved through creating commitment among the project implementers. Additionally, he shall facilitate organization, planning as well as the implementation of the planned project activities. Consequently, the coordinate shall ensure that there is consultation among the project team in the case there are challenges faced. The consultation processes are basically meant to facilitate collective problem solving activities. External Monitoring and Evaluation Expert The services of an external monitoring and evaluation expert shall be needed in this project. Basically, they shall undertake an assessment of the project activities in order to identify and determine whether or not the project activities meet the requirements of the project activities. This important in the sense that it shall facilitate the identification of challenges faced in the project that may hinder the attainment of the project goals. 2.0. Measuring the Success of the Project This project is expected to benefits various companies in the United States in a number of ways. The first benefit is improved performance among different companies hence increased productivity among the companies. Additionally, this project is expected to improve work efficiency among employees. In this regard there shall be different factors taken into consideration in order to determine the success of the project i.e. internal factors such as improved work efficiency or even external factors such as improved customer satisfaction. When new employees are recruited in any company and provided with imperative operation skills, it is obvious that the level of their productivity shall be enhanced; hence increasing their overall performance. On the other hand, properly trained employees are more likely to provide excellent customer services thereby increasing their level of satisfaction. 2.1. Critical Success Factors In regard to the achievement of the first objective, there shall be a need for provision of appropriate training environment as well as training resources. The second objective shall also be achieved through provision of the appropriate training environment together with the provision of adequate training timeframes. These two objectives also require proper communication among the stakeholders. The analysis of the employee training programs shall be successful if undertaken by evaluation experts either external or internal. On the other hand, the fourth objective would be achieved through proper communication as well as a proper cooperation between external stakeholders and the project implementers. Consequently, the fifth objective can be achieved through the access of appropriate material such as the right documents that contain information regarding other alternative training programs. Another critical factor in regard to the achievement of this objective is the existence of proper analytical skills among the project implementers. This in order to enables them identify crucial issues within alternative employee training programs. Long term and Short term Critical Success Factors The long term critical success factor for objectives of this project is the existence of proper communication channel that forms the basis of the new training programs while the short term critical success factor is basically the corporation between the trainers and other stakeholders. 2.2. Key Performance Indicators The first objective is directed towards the exposing new employees to the new training programs. The key performance indicator for this objective is basically a high level of performance among the new employees. On the other hand, the second objective focuses on exposing employees to Program based learning activities in order to prepare them for the sub-sequent years. The key performance indicator for this objective is an improved performance among these employees. Additionally, improved customer satisfaction and the overall company performance are other performance indicators. The performance of the analysis of the new employee training program as an objective of the projective shall be determined by the efficacy of the new alternative employee training program. In regard to the fourth objective, its key performance indicator is the level by, which the project is received by local companies in the United Kingdom. Consequently, the project is guided by a fifth objective that basically involves the assessment of the employee training program in order to identify the best courses of action that can be applied in the process of training employee. The key performance indicator to this objective is the development of more effective and efficient new employee training programs. Long Term and Short Term Key Performance Indicators The long term key performance indicator for the objectives of this project is an overall company’s performance while the short term key performance indicator is the existence of efficient performance among the employees.
