The Global Financial Crisis: Impact on Property Markets in the UK - Essay Example

The study has been conducted with a sound hypothesis statement which is backed up by examining secondary data from ten UK property companies. This research goes further to investigate the way property managers have responded to the challenges of the financial crisis in the UK property companies, by examining secondary data from ten UK property companies.  In addition, the research will give an in-depth evaluation of the far-reaching effects on property markets in terms of credit availability and investor confidence that ultimately led to severe falls in house prices.

As a result, this research focuses on why the house prices change trend and how the changes affected the property market especially property companies because of the relative changes in demand.               One of the key conclusions of this research is on the adjustments to the changes in a volatile and ever-changing market as organizations dealing with property struggled for their continued existence. Even with the competitive market in the property market this research reveals that it is necessary to diversify, as it allows organizations to spread their financial and managerial risk.

More significantly, businesses have to change their human resource and management structure policies, as stagnation within the property sector can lead to organizational decline. The results of this research recommends that property companies must also work with financial institutions and the government to improve external factors such as mortgage availability, which will lead to improvements as the property market comes out of the global financial crisis shocks.
