The research results were used from this software and analysis has been completed using both Survey Monkey and Microsoft Excel.The research findings and analysis has brought out some major aspects of SMEs and also expresses the difficulties that SMEs face in obtaining finances from external sources. It is clear and evident that the SMEs of Saudi Arabia have been clearly facing a number of issues relating the financial aspects. Although there are a number of options that are available from the Government, the external financing tends to be quite strained.

The SMEs and the type of business that are most severely impacted are the Sole proprietorship companies. Also, companies which have been started with personal savings as an initial capital also face major difficulties in attaining external funds. Based on the research results detailed conclusion has also been developed. Also based on the limitations of this research, a clear set of further research recommendations have also been set out to help improvise on the research and to develop more detailed and accurate research.

Small and medium enterprises form a major part of every economy and to a great extent can be rightly referred to as the backbone of an economy. The small and medium-sized businesses tend to provide the economy with a possibility of economic growth, dynamism and also help in building the levels of flexibility of the economy as well. The same goes for all types of economies, irrespective of whether it is underdeveloped, developing or even a developed country, the small and medium-sized businesses tend to provide the economy with a major push and to a great extent are the cause of the success or failure of the economies.
