With the growing reputation for online education, therefore, working professionals, students, and faculty members are finding it reasonable to attend online classes. Hence, institutions of higher learning in different parts of the world are introducing online courses to address the diverse learning needs of their students effectively (Aspillera).

Since online education is growing in terms of popularity, many learning opportunities are emerging. By converting most of the undergraduate teaching programs to online courses, new teaching opportunities emerge, which make it possible for the students to achieve the goals and objectives of the courses they are pursuing in a more effective manner. Furthermore, students identify opportunities for solving various course problems they encounter while learning as well as introduce different types of independent and interactive activities that facilitate the learning process. This is particularly the case with regard to the challenges posed by the traditional learning environment (Aspillera).

Online learning also plays a vital role in allowing faculty members to interact effectively with their students. In an online learning environment, students lack opportunities for hiding, encouraging them to exercise responsibility while learning. Here, instructors develop more connections with learners, particularly because they are able to understand them better. For instance, in case students fail to participate in class discussions, they develop more confidence while contributing to an online learning environment. Additionally, encouraging the addition of online programs boosts the learning potential of students. They portray increased motivation and enthusiasm while pursuing their courses. They also perform better in their exams, produce quality assignments, write good papers, and participate in meaningful discussions. Students also portray great potential in developing problem-solving and critical thinking skills as well as applying theoretical frameworks to real-world occurrences (Aspillera).

The introduction of additional online courses in a university facilitates the development of new pedagogical approaches for teaching. Educators are challenged to introduce new ways of instructing their students, leading to the development of an educator-learner relationship that is aligned with the student's learning potential. This way, it becomes possible to document the learning process, helping to layout and organize every learning and teaching experience in one place. However, although challenges may emerge when additional online courses are introduced, the benefits outdo the prevailing problems. Instructors increase the efficiency of their pedagogy since an online platform plays a key role in organizing courses as well as automating basic initiatives, such as grading, quizzes, and surveys. Finding, printing, or referring to grades, course documents, announcements, and discussion threads is also easy (Aspillera). Hence, based on the various benefits and opportunities presented by online courses rather than traditional learning environments, it is vital to convert most universities’ undergraduate teaching to online courses.
