20th May Trends in Labor Force Participation One of the current trends in business labor force is where the organizations are adopting a technique whereby they are practicing group based forms of work design rather than the workers working individually. The organization assigns tasks to multifunctional teams in order to integrate different parts of the organization. This trend enables the organizations, to be able to engage its workers in higher complexity of work and also can enable the organization to adjust further it concepts methods, strategies and the skills of its workforce.

This trend is majorly being adopted by a great number of organizations currently (Mankiw, 3). Another current trend in the labor force of the businesses is whereby the organizations are increasingly looking for employees and workers who have knowledge, competencies and skills that are required and expected to enable them perform other tasks. This has enabled the organization’s workforce to be able to engage in exploratory and also exploitation activities as part of their job also. This is because they poses not only the skills required by the organization but also other additional skills.

Organizations are also adopting another trend whereby they are emphasizing on the development of human labor force who understands broader strategic issues and specific organizational tasks. This proves that they are walking away from the prior system whereby their work force were performing a specific task. This shows that the organizations currently need a labor force not only with the skills, knowledge and competence in business perspective but also the one that has additional specialization (Mankiw, 3).

Another current trend in the labor force of the businesses is whereby they are now adopting a higher interdependence of their work. This is where the employees are required to have more skills, knowledge and competence because the customers are also adopting a new case whereby they are frequently asking for custom made materials (Mankiw, 3).Works CitedMankiw, N.
