Introduction This report analyzes the marketing opportunities of three companies that each of these companies can capitalize. Three companies selected for this report are: Amyris Biotechnologies, Dollar Inc and Bling Nation. Amyris Biotechnologies Amyris Biotechnologies is one of the companies that have been selected to examine the marketing opportunity that the company is facing. The company has been involved in building a plant in the year 2009 (Amyris a) and in this project the company was using synthetic technology in order to make fuels by changing the sugarcanes and at the same time making sure that the chemicals are removed.

The marketing company was in search of fuel as well as chemical that can be reused or recycled in the future. However after some time, to be precise in the year 2011, the management of the company felt that fuel and chemical are more like an obstruction and keeping it is a costly thing, therefore the company would be better off not keeping it. Moreover, the company felt that it would be more useful to not keep the fuel and chemical as the overall process is not easy. Such a situation or marketing opportunity would be considered as the low hanging fruit since finding and looking for marketing opportunities that can be achieved in the near future are better than those that would be achieved after years.

The current strategy that the company has adapted would have a negative influence on the profitability of the company as the strategy adapted is not directly adding to the profitability of the company. Dollar Inc The other company that has been selected for this report is the Dollar Inc. the company is a Canadian based company and it has the leading stores in Canada (Dollar). Majority of the resources of the company are acquired from Asia and the success of the company started after the buyout in the year 2004.

The company has been growing at a rapid pace and its growth rate has been increasing over the past few years. However, there are uncertainty that the increase in costs particularly merchandise costs of the company would increase the overall costs and would influence the prices in the stores. This situation or opportunity would be considered as a single as Dollar is one such company and there are no similar companies in the country like this. Therefore this would be in all positive for the company.

Bling Nation The third company that has been selected for this report is the Bling Nation. The company, Bling Nation, started its operations in the year 2007. California based company is a mobile payment plan like MasterCard and Visa. The main purpose or aim of Bling Nation has been to provide convenience and ease to people so that they can pay their mobile or cell phone bills in more effective way. This services aims to reduce the dissatisfaction level of people and to reduce the number of complications that are faced by people in making their payment.

The company offers different payment options such as an individual can pay its mobile phone bills from personal checking accounts. People can also pay through saving plans thus it provides convenience in paying the mobile phone bills. However with the passage of time things that changed slightly and the company is also planning to improve its services as well as the business model that has been currently adapted. Therefore this situation would be called as the homerun since the company has been operating successful and the company is not facing problems in making profits at the moment.

So, at the present time the company is analyzing different opportunities and in order to remain competitive and maintain the first mover advantage the company is analyzing different opportunities so that they are able to maintain the profitability level with the changing environment. Conclusion To conclude this report, different companies face different opportunities that can be exploited. However, it is important to identify and analyze regularly the opportunities so that the business is able to maintain its profitability and reduce its risk.

If the company operates the same way, then in the long run it cannot be successful and therefore it has to make changes to its business model and services accordingly. References Amyris a.
