source of competitive advantage that enables the firm to introduce an array of new

products and services. The Core competencies concept arises from the integration of

multiple technologies and the coordination of diverse production skills and it provides

access to wide verity of markets, contribute significantly to end-product benefits (Core

Competencies, par. 1-6). Core competencies are the knowledge, skills and attitudes the

organization has deemed critical to long-term success, such as creative thinking and

problem solving; leadership and visioning; and self-development (The Training

Organization, p. 8). They tend to be rooted in the ability to integrate and coordinate

various groups in the organization and they lead to the development of core products.

Give examples.

Answer: In today's rapidly changing world of technological development, staff

training programs are strongly linked with organizational goals. Since an organization

can only meet its objectives or goals if it has a diversified workforce with diversified

skills and knowledge, hence staff training programs are generally arranged to prepare and

enable workers to adapt to new technologies, changing work environments and ever

increasing customer demands.

Answer: Three research techniques are basic research, scientific research, and

historical research. The advantages and disadvantages of these techniques are based on

what the research is about and for. Basic and scientific research is perfect techniques for

almost any kind of research project, while historical research is used for just that area.

Analyst Training Program.

Answer. The training proposal on page 369 is a typical analyst-training program.

It covers all of the required training necessary to properly train someone. The training

proposal targets specific PC-related skills that analysts need to learn. It overviews

specific hands-on training strategies that would improve the productive of analysts by

improving their effectiveness and efficiency in their job tasks and roles. The training

proposal is effectively designed including training cycle program, which will help better

to overall outcome (Lally, pp.369-377).
