Yes, Hamlet loved Ophelia, but for happiness, he would need a girlfriend like Juliet: decisive, courageous, ready to fight for her true loving with the whole kingdom, and not just with her father and brother, and Claudius.            The submission of poor Ophelia really ruined her. Hamlet is the foremost man of his time. Hamlet is a student at Wittenberg University, who was an advanced university in the Shakespeare era. Hamlet’s progressive worldview is also evident in his attitude to women.

            Hamlet did not really appreciate the purity, meekness, and boundless emotion of Ophelia not only for herself but also for relatives - father, brother. She could not become a fighter because Hamlet would not be happy with her, even if Shakespeare turned the action to a successful end.
