To underscore the tenets of psychoanalysis, the research delves into a detailed analysis of how these characters conduct themselves in the community which entails the reflection of the truth about their life through psychological developments. Integrating the theoretical models of psychoanalysis will therefore reveal the development of their internal behavioral characteristics which have a major role in determining what they think and decide to do based on the situation or environment they are in.
Additionally, the research integrates the historically mindful thoughts and lives the individual characters have undertaken and how they changed over time. Based on different research that has linked psychoanalysis with characters, the research will therefore bring to an understanding of why some actions were meant to happen the way they did in the different plots of the stories. One will find that through psychoanalysis, a character can accomplish his or her personal development including even self-discovery. This incorporates part of the purpose of this paper which is to discuss the roles and contributions of the characters in the development of the stories, explore their personalities, and establish their influence on the roles and character traits of the minor counterparts.
Researches regarding psychoanalytic theory remain multifaceted. Currently, studies have started looking at the connectedness between this theory and characters as depicted in different texts (Hiriyappa 68). Looking at different internal conflicts and thoughts of the characters will be very useful in understanding the human mind in the real world whereby in the creation of relationships between different individuals, there are so many factors that determine how successful the relationship will take. At what likely duration is a firm grip of such a relationship going to last the knowledge gained in this research will be of vital importance as one can make similar deductions from real-world examples as may have been presented in a likely case that is in the different plots of the stories.
To analyze the characters, the major fundamentals that the paper considers will be aspects presented in the psychoanalytic theory of personality development by Sigmund Freud. Sigmund Freud found out through the development of this theory that personality observed by people on others was created through conflicts that take place in the three fundamental structures of the human mind (Sigmund 59). These three fundamentals are, however, developed through five stages that are separated by years of age from when a child is born to when he or she becomes an adult. These stages occur systematically and they include the oral, the anal, the phallic, the latency, and the genital. An overview of these stages is explained below.
