The Concept of Black Holes Seife, Charles. Decoding the Universe: How the New Science of Information Is Explaining Everything in the Cosmos, from Our Brains to Black Holes. New York: Viking, 2006. Print. This book is a very fundamental book on the fundamental concepts of science including the concept of black hole. The book starts with the study that for the study of the concepts of science it is necessary that the correct and true information is extremely necessary in order to study the various concepts thoroughly. The book then discusses in detail the concepts and basic theory behind the black hole. There are many controversies and numerous theories that are present on the existence of black holes. These theories have been discussed with evidence and proper proves and the statements that have been given by scientists. Some certain have suggested that certain laws of physics have not been followed while considering and studying black holes while on the other hand certain scientists have written proves that all laws are being observed. The book is a very informative and resourceful book. The book helped a quite a lot in the process of study. The book provided a lot of information starting from the very basic concepts to the advanced information relating the concept of black holes. The book proved very beneficial and educational. Al-Khalili, Jim. Black Holes, Wormholes & Time Machines. Bristol, UK: Institute of Physics Pub, 1999. Print. The book discusses the study conducted by a scientist Jim Al-Khalili on the various theories that have presented by Einstein. Einstein has presented numerous theories that relate to the concept of time and space. Black holes are a part of the universe and space and Einstein have presented a number of theories regarding this concept. And the scientist earlier mentioned have studied in detail all these theories and have presented several different new discoveries which he discovered during his study. Universe, time and space are all directly related to the concept of black hole and have direct relations with the existence and non-existence of black holes. The scientist has presented that certain theories presented by Einstein like the theory of relativity is not completely applicable to the concept of black hole. On the other hand, scientists like Einstein himself believes that the theories are true and in working condition. The book was a great source of information and provided with great deals of information and the book contained certain information which could not be found in other relevant books. Through the studying of the book it can be concluded that the book is written after great research and through study. Potvin, Geoffrey D, and Amanda . Peet. Singularity Resolution and the Black Hole Information Paradox. , 2006. Print. This is a dissertation that has been written purely on the concept of black holes, the controversies that have been presented on the concept of black holes. Many theories have been presented regarding the concept of black holes and as a result a number of contradictions have been presented on the topic of black hole. This book which is in actual a thesis has discussed in detail these controversies and the paradox that exists regarding the issue of black hole. Black hole is such a big controversy in the history of science that no other issue can second it. Many famous scientists have declared that black holes are a part of this universe and they are an unshaken reality while on the other numerous other renowned and eminent scientists have presented theories that there is no such thing as black holes and all the concept behind the black holes that has been presented by scientists who support are totally illogical and baseless. This thesis has discussed these various issues in detail and has presented its own view regarding this issue. The thesis is very interesting piece of writing and very informative. Fabbri, Alessandro, and José Navarro-Salas. Modeling Black Hole Evaporation. London: Imperial College Press, 2005. Print. This book is an extremely knowledgeable and informative book regarding the concept, basis and theory of black hole. The discovery of black hole has been discussed in detail and from then on many scientists have spent their careers in researching about the black holes, its existence, its working and all the mechanism and theories that can be applied to the concept of black hole. The book after discussing its discoveries discusses the various scientists that have worked and have been working on the black holes and the book has further discussed the various different theories that have been presented by the scientists. These theories have been explained in detail and the black hole has been explained in much detail as compared to other books. The author has mentioned the contradictions that have been presented by various scientists like some scientists believe that Pauli’s exclusion principle cannot be applied to black holes and many other contradictions have been given. The author has then presented certain conclusions regarding the discussions that he has mentioned in his book. The greatest advantage of this book is that the various theories that have been presented have been compared and contrasted and certain conclusions have been drawn from them. The book is very resourceful and helpful as it contains information in an extremely organized manner. Goldberg, Dave, and Jeff Blomquist. A User's Guide to the Universe: Surviving the Perils of Black Holes, Time Paradoxes, and Quantum Uncertainty. Hoboken, N.J: Wiley, 2010. Print. This book is a very easy to use book as it contains all the information in a very easy and understandable language. The author has presented all the information regarding time, space, universe, parallel universes, and other concepts of physics like string theory, quantum mechanics and other such topics in quiet good amounts and has discussed the topics in great detail and depth. The concepts regarding time, space and universe are very difficult for a lay man to understand and comprehend and the author has made this difficult task very easy and simple by explaining all these concepts in a very simplified manner and in a way that can be easily understood by anyone without having any prior knowledge regarding the concepts of space, quantum theory, string theory, etc. the book has discussed the issues that have arisen regarding black hole. Some scientists have given their notion that there is no such thing as black hole and all this issue is just a hoax while many scientists believe that these holes exist but have contradictions in the way they are explained. The greatest benefit obtained from this book is that the author has answered frequently asked questions in a way that is very easy and in a way that can be easily understood by the people. The book is very helpful in providing useful information. Kreitler, Paul V. Trends in Black Hole Research. New York: Nova Science Publishers, 2006. Print. This book is a very enlightening and instructive book about the black holes. It has been discussed in detail that black holes are a part of this universe and in this book all information regarding black holes have been mentioned in great detail. The book discusses and explains in detail all the theories that have been developed since the discovery of black holes. Numerous theories have been presented by different scientists regarding black holes and in this book these details have been mentioned with great clarity and depth. The author has also presented the views and objections of various scientists on the existence and non-existence of black holes. However the author believes that black holes exist and they are an important part of our universe. The book is very helpful and resourceful as it provides authentic and detailed information regarding black holes. References Seife, Charles.
