Insert The Diary of a Mad Man Introduction The persona in the story has apparently gone through the bygone days, and as he comes back to normal, he remembers that he is the person who has ceased to share out his message as he is not successful in purging his heart to sorrows and the loneliness he went through those days. There were two siblings in the story. It is evidently understandable why the younger one in the topic was hard afflicted with a dread disease that made his most part of life be miserable unsound.
Thus, I agree with idea presented that he has to cheer now so as to give morale to the warriors in the field that still go through loneliness and giving encouragement to keep riding (XUN). The cheers that he gave out didn’t matter to him whether it was heroic, detestable or ridiculous. He just gave cheers as he gives respect to orders given by the warriors that are still in the field. I point that he talks about the moon being bright and that he had not seen it in the past thirty years or so, does not seem clear to me.
This is an indication in my view that enhances the fact that he has suffered from the disease for many years hence he has to be happy because of coming back to senses. Though he still needs to be very careful the way the Zhao family dog gave him a very dirty look. Observations made in the story I made the observation that, as he made his way out the front gate the same day, he meets with a funny look from Venerable Old Zhao. The look had the mixture of fear and readiness for the fight. I agree with orders that some were in groups in the streets whispering and chanting about him as begins to shiver because there were men deployed ready to deal with him.
The children were not left behind as they had an iron gray eyes that portrait their grudge towards him. He wonders why such behavior from the people and the children who were not even born during his time. The only reason that comes to my mind on the change in behavior is that there was a time he tramped the books of accounts kept by Mr. Antiquity as he was hopping mad that. He wonders how Old Zhao did came to know about it and I approve that it is the reason why he must have gone to the extent of telling others to gang against him (XUN).
Moreover, it is from the fact that he gets scared when he hears their farm tenant converse with his elder brother on the issue of famine that warrants the state of need of morale building to bolster their courage. He wonders what will happen to him because his brother seems to be on the side of villagers. He says that his brother is a cannibal as he tells his brother not to make his thoughts run away with him. He also tells his brother that he knows very well that the doctor who is to examine him is an executioner in disguise.
Conclusion The conclusion is therefore that, the persona has been living in an era that there has been eating human flesh for over four thousand years. He asserts that his sister Shan died, and he ate her flesh unknowingly and that it is his turn to be eaten. I acknowledge the diary chronology and all the affection the character had with the village. The cases they went through warrant their actions. Basis of Speculations in the paper The speculations in the paper are based on what he did on Mr.
Antiquity’s books of accounts. This in my view is the reason to why they have punished the people. Also, there are speculations that they eat people, as his brother is involved in such an evil act. Work Cited XUN, LU. l)Diary of a Mad Man. BEIJING: Adventure Press Work, 1922.
