However, I feel that narrowing the narration to imply that the botched erotic relationship in context to imply the strained relation between Indians and the British could still makes the description more meaningful and give it a wider bearing particularly in the contemporary society. Can we probably state that Forster had an ostensible intention of indicating how the emaciated liberated Indians continued clinging to Britain despite the unparalleled social, economic and political injustices that were done to them? It seems that Adela wronged in trying to look for the ‘real India’ in one Indian, Aziz. She overlooked the sheer fact that no single Indian can provide the perfect sense of India as it exists in various guises. English fail to be pleasant to Indians and most Indians end up feeling dejected. Chracters such as Ronny do not see anything in the Englishmen way of ruling and instead says that, “..English are in India to keep the peace, not to be pleasant..” (Forster 01).

I believe Britain was guided by selfish, egocentric interests and was committed to ensure it exhausts the Indians. Instead of finding a real India, Mrs. Moore and Adela’s visit to the caves confirms to them that indeed India was corrupt and was hard to get the experience of ‘real India’.
