number The Rainbow Town We have either experienced or watched documentaries of the struggle of citizens caught up in civil wars. Many people affected have either fled the country, and might not be able to return to their home country. Countries that have survived civil wars struggle with their economy a majority of its citizens jobless, and living in poverty. The struggle to rebuild the heart of the whole nation, and that of specific individuals who were affected by the war takes a long time.

We have seen, read, or watched children affected by civil wars yearn for education, but they have no money to join any institution. Citizens have complained of no enough money to do business, the civil wars have also torn apart families from each other. During this time, men and boys were forced at a young age to fight to defend their side. We have noticed families divide because of their idea on slavery. Loved ones were also killed in the battle leading to depression and boredom. The events of deaths have also forced families to cope with deaths leading to hard times.

The struggle to rebuild lives in countries that were affected by civil wars is still taking place. Some documentaries show the harshness that was faced during the civil wars. Rainbow town shows the kind of hard times that orphans who have lost their parents during the civil war of Liberia face. The choice that one has to make when faced with situations similar to the ones that Mother Feeta had a Motherly love. During furious wars, most people will not mind the damage that is done on children who have nowhere to go.

Mother Feeta made an exceptional choice, one that might be rare to find within a majority of us. Up to date she stays with eighty six children at Rainbow Town, a rural Liberian farm. This particular documentary unveils to us the price of civil war; it also illustrates to us the strength of the human spirit. The major problems that constantly face Rainbow Town unearth the kind of hardship and struggle that survivors of civil wars face in their lives. Life to them requires clinging to faith and each other so as to overcome the troubles.

Ma Feeta has devoted her whole life to caring for the children; she does this despite her suffering from poor heart. The collection of paintings at Rainbow Town is original art work made by the children. Each piece of the paintings is as colorful and is one of a kind as the youngster who made it. We can also say that the paintings might have a collection of the real rainbow; bold, vibrant, bright, and colorful. This attributes fulfill the kind of life experienced at Rainbow Town. The bold colors have the hard times that the children and Ma Feeta undergo, to some the bright colors might show the hope and faith that the Children have on their future as narrated by three of them (Taylor Johnson).

The children still have a hope of a bright future. The kind of effort put by some of them in school, and their wish of travelling outside Liberia show this. The paintings made by the children are a form of rejuvenation of the country. They wish for peace and happiness. Works Cited Stewart, Josphene. The rainbow Town Project.
