Courage it takes to truly give oneself a chance to express with the knowledge he possesses, and the feelings he carries for the betterment of his fellowmen. In his speech, King's will and determination are pretty apparent. He wanted his fellow countrymen to think in a broad way. His mentality and ideas were different from that of others. He had made this a mission of his life that my life is not an ordinary life like any other person’s out there, rather I want to live my life working for the betterment of my fellow countrymen.

One of his statements during the opening of his speech shows a high level of determination. King speaks, “I would go on, even to the great heyday of the Roman Empire. And I would see developments around there, through various emperors and leaders. But I wouldn't stop there.” (King Jr.). Being determined takes courage, especially for things in which leadership is required. In fact, he was a courageous person, ready to fight for the right things. Life should not be lived by force. It should be lived freely but with a purpose.

If one thinks he deserves a particular thing, it is his right to fight for that thing with courage. Speaking of courage King further speaks, “we have nothing to fear but "fear itself." (King Jr.). Courage is not the absence of fear, in fact courage is doing what is right despite one being fearful about it. Fears are unavoidable. One will have fears, the challenge is how he copes with his fears and fights with determination and courage for his rights. That is what King's message was. He wanted to unite his people, and was against this racial discrimination, which would bring chaos in the country.

He wanted equality for every American, either he is a black or White. Speaking of unity King says, “When the slaves get together, that's the beginning of getting out of slavery. Now let us maintain unity” (King Jr.). In his statement, he is trying to tell his people that if they wanted the end to injustice, and wanted equality with a positive mindset. They would have to unite. Getting united is yet again was not possible without courage. To take the first step one has to be courageous, therefore he was inviting his people to fight for their rights.

Let us now examine the works of Byron in the shade of courage. Basically Byron's poetry is all based on romanticism. Likewise the poem, which is being examined here, is also a romantic poem in which the writer is complaining his beloved about the reasons why she left him. In his poetry, one thing can be noticed, and that is the lack of courage. His writing works make one feel that he lacked the true purpose in life. He did not have a true message that he could share with people, something that would help people in becoming better persons.

He was all attracted to women. His message through his this poem shows the lack of courage in him. If someone can, be broken just because of a girl leaving him, how can he be courageous?
