Elaborating in a very brief manner, it can be explained that the title page is aimed to be comprehensive so that it gives a clear picture about the nature of the work that has been done in the paper. The title of a proposal is supposed to be brief and concise in nature. The table of contents section is a very mandatory section for a long and detailed proposal since it often contains a large number of headings which provide diversified and detailed information. The introduction section of the proposal is supposed to start with a basic and generalized statement about what is proposed.

This section also includes the statement of problem, purpose of research as well as significance of research. The background section includes the area of literature review. The inclusion of the literature review in this section helps the readers to understand about the previous works that has been handled in this domain. The proposed research description talks mainly about the method of handling the research. It is important to consider that the research design needs to be realistic so that they can be accomplished.

Also the assumptions and the hypothesis of the research need to be explicitly mentioned under this section. The section related to relevant institutional resources is focused on listing the various resources that are available for handling the particular project. The section of reference list focuses on maintaining consistency while using the same style for referencing. A proposal is an appeal for sustaining a paid instruction, project or research. A well prepared proposal easily and efficiently answer the aspects like- Cost or funds required for the project.

The relation between the project and the supporter’s interests. The importance of the project in solving a particular issue. Impact of the project on the students, institution, faculties, society, other related organization and the world at large. The progress already made by other researchers previously about the given topic. The planning towards the completion of the project. The results and analysis of the project. How will the results be evaluated? The suitable/ appropriate criteria met by the researcher to deal with the project.

Types of Proposals 1. Solicited proposals are submitted in response to a request for proposal. These proposals usually are written in response to the requested client specifications with price quotations or identified problem, an outlined plan on how it will be accomplished, a specific description of the solution and what makes it the best solution. 2. Unsolicited proposals are used to gain interest of a potential customer by highlighting a company’s product or service. It can also be used a way to get in front of a prospective consumer or as an introduction. 3. Preproposals are made in view to minimize an applicant’s effort.

The applicant’s effort is reduced as he/she does not have to prepare a full proposal. They are usually a brief summary. After reviewing the preproposal, the sponsor provides the investigator with a notification whether a complete proposal is necessary. 4. Continuation proposals are written in case of multi-year projects and they confirm the original proposal. 5. Renewal proposals generally have the same status as an unsolicited proposal. Problem solving approach of a proposal A proposal always aims at solving a specific problem.
