One of the major emphasis has been placed on creating a society where the aspects of health and wellness are highly emphasized upon.  Since allocating tax money is a critical and sensitive issue; one must look at all aspects of funding from the community. As a mayor, I would allocate around 15% of the overall tax money to build fitness facilities. For community users, the patrons will be charged at a discount price.

With positive influence and motivation, the kids will be more likely to make good decisions and keep themselves out of trouble. Another reason why recreation centers will be a healthy investment is the fact that the younger generation will also have the opportunity to implement a healthy lifestyle. Having a recreation center opens channels for healthy socialization for not only kids but adults also. However, with the advent of new technology, it will become clear that the utilization of machines will worsen the inactivity problems. For instance, the advent of HD televisions and cell phones enables individuals to become “couch potatoes.” Another example is the idea of instant movies online that is heavily being utilized by individuals these days. Companies such as Netflix and Blockbuster allow individuals to have instant downloads of movies and attract the masses to stay at home and be inactive. Voting on this particular issue is going to be extremely difficult for various reasons. First and foremost, many community members tend to think that investing in a facility will be a waste of money. They will not be able to understand that this is a long-term investment. Voting should be conducted on a majority-win basis but should also be open to high school students.

Achieving fitness in a community is no doubt a collaboration effort. It is the moral responsibility of fitness teachers to educate the youth about staying active. In addition, they should implement school programs that discuss the aspects of adopting a healthy lifestyle. Club owners should propagate and make flexible schedules for individuals so they can try to attend fitness sessions. Personal trainers should make a strong effort to create workout plans for beginner gym users. Moreover, they should emphasize the available resources that are available for healthy tips. Furthermore, there should be a push to create meal plans and introduce healthy snacking options that can change the dynamic of this situation.

Wellness education should begin at a very young age. No doubt the goal is to implement a mindset in which health and wellness are vital aspects. When kids learn something at a young age, they tend to absorb the information and practices at a very young age. Thus, those principles must be enforced at an early age.
When it comes to fitness levels, everyone possesses a different level at different age groups. For first graders, the primary focus is on getting the kids active and allowing them to explore various activities that would allow them to be active. As kids grow older, the majority of them tend to shift their focus. For instance, a student that is in eight-grade will tend to emphasize excelling in some sports. Usually, teenagers want to get stronger at this point and want to be a superstar in their stores. Hence, much of the emphasis is focused on cardiovascular conditioning and designing programs to fit the needs of those individuals. Lastly, a senior in high school is a unique individual. Usually, seniors that are in the last era of school tend to take it easy. Consequently, other students want to pursue their strength training or their love for a sport and will continue to work on their strength for that reason.
