It is because of the fact that each individual from different culture, sects and status gather together through immigrations and multicultural activities are being observed under one umbrella which not only affect the system but also give a wakeup call to law enforcement agencies to keep a keen eye on the activities of the people around. One of the factors which play the role of a catalyst in being irrational is that people getting immigrations for low skilled jobs are not ethically, morally or academically educated to understand and observe different systems. Here in this paper America is the country where we need to show our concerns and understandings to give reasons for the irrationality of the immigrants living in American society. There are some of the issues which rise in result of immigrant’s irrational behavior: Immigrants are availing the free public services like health care and education Immigrants who do not pay taxes are approximately 35%. Derive jobs from Americans on the behalf of lower wages demand Threats to security against terrorism Rise in crime problems in different communities Immigrants do not adopt the local language which creates confusions. These are some of the issues which give a way to debate on the irrationality of immigrants. On the other hand, the issue of immigrants was taken and felt hard by a community. In response to these attitudes towards immigrants Lois Veldaz worked hard to prove that certain mind sets can spoil lives of millions as this is an obstacle towards their betterment. She worked within her boundary but made an impact on a huge mass which definitely made a difference. Causes: Irrationality of immigrants on such scales can easily mark the loop holes of the authority issuing immigrations. One of the biggest concerns is the illegal immigrants living within An American Society because it not only affect the stability of a nation but also condemns the right of An American. According to the government report Immigrants are not harming the Native Americans in any way as policy has a limited allowance to them but in original immigrants are availing the rights of Americans and causing the instability in the stream of Native Rights and Values. In the early twentieth century , when America’s economy boosted by setting up new industries of finished goods and machine products at such large number that was never seen before attracted a huge number of people living in the outskirts and rural areas of America in favor of handsome salary package and better living standards to move to urban areas. At first it was giving a glimpse of development but scholars with their foresightedness took this issue as a serious situation. A large number of people with little knowledge of American language and native culture can endanger the democratic stability of America. In the beginning it was not less than a nightmare for the people who were only hand to mouth and was struggling to survive within American cities. This led Americans to concentrate on small communities with sure immigrants or only natives. Later, they observed that the immigrants have dangerously irrational tendencies towards their system which made them drew a line between the newcomers and the sure immigrants (Joseph Turow 152). “The United States would benefit itself and the world by learning from the errors of its past immigration policies”: Says Michele Wucker. She further explained this issue as a sensitive matter for Americans today because they have lost trust of people over the democratic system. The Europeans were white in skin so were easily mixed up as they only had a task to learn English and once done with it nobody could find them non-Americans. In reality, a century ago thirty six out of hundred were used to return to their homelands after they are economically settled but today twenty three hardly of every hundred go back to their origins even if they get economically sound, this is also leading to a dense pressure on government to manage a large number of immigrants with their facilities. Immigration touches on every aspect of American life and lies at the core of national mythology. It is sometimes argued and blamed on American government that they let this happen for their personal gains which worsened the point of crises. A cycle of immigration policies with its renewal is carried forward but controversies about quota distribution is still there. In 1920’s where policy makers seemed to be honest and patriotic towards rebuilding American colony as a global power set up all but dismantled. They forget their target on papers and moved with an issue which wasn’t complete with its terms and conditions in which they main rule was supposedly decided that “if you are not with us than you are against us.” This notion has a ground of mental compatibilities and uniformity in behavior. During 1965 America’s policy for immigrants was to bring in their families which replicated and multiplied irrationalities among the American Society and high figures of immigrants coming in. People were expecting Congress to respond to this issue by slowing down the immigration process with thorough examinations but they acted in mirror and smoke solutions which tightened air for Americans to breath. This increased the burden on the finances kept for public facilitation (Michele Wucker, 19 June 2006). After a sad incident of 9/11, pressure arises on the immigration department and finally a bill passed from the House of Representatives in 2005 to shut the doors for immigrants and ground the illegal immigrants as soon as possible. Bill also included a policy of isolation for employers to legally hire an outsider which opened the doors for Americans to earn their bread and butter which was not possible because of low-skilled and low wages offered to immigrants. In May 2006 a great effort with implementation was made to make sure that the balance is maintained between the Native Americans and Immigrants in all aspects of life. There were some loopholes which let the essence down but was supported and mended at the right time. If America is going to repeat the mistake made in early 20’s then serious repercussions would be welcoming America to face. Performing Arts used as a Weapon: Los Vendidos set up a fine example to fight for a right within its horizons. This play or theatre was written by Lois Veldaz to bring in the effects of Latino stereotypes on a society and on those stereotyped. She took a stand for whatever suffering Mexicans once faced for being an immigrant in America. This play will help each individual to realize their prejudices and understand how a Latino feels with an exceptional behavior. The Mexican characters in play were giving an obvious idea of how they were treated by the prejudice society against racism. The Author conveyed the message to people who are the bearer of certain mind sets make up their mind by just observing the skin color, accent or appearance instead of how professionally trained he/she is for that particular job. The characters were all Mexicans and speaking Spanish, to give this play a real outline of how Mexicans were tired of being stereotyped ( Los Vedidos 89 ). A lot of appreciation is received on this play which made people laugh and have lesson at the same time. This was a fruitful effort for Latinos as people like Russell Pearce also support them and this was an eye opening effort for people to understand and respect the difference for a peaceful environment without any prejudices for minorities as immigrants. New Year with a new step: As the new year started with a new congress, an issue of immigration took its strength at a national level and people are protesting to adopt the 14th amendment which was a law of 1857 in which no African descent is allowed to be An American citizen. The amendment says that only the people born in America known as legal immigrants have the right to be An American Citizen. A group of state legislatures are now trying to do away this matter with birthright citizenship in the name of legal citizenship. In contrast, Mamita Mala at VivirLatino says: “And make no mistake about it, this debate on birthright citizenship is gendered and racialized. There is not an overwhelming concern about Canadian anchor babies”. The bottom line is that ending up the birthright will lead to a new issue of every single child born in United States of America and would change the face of a country’s identity as what more could be done to deny a right of a baby born on a place. Russell Pearce, who is in a group of legislators, representing 14 states is willing to re appeal for this 14 amendment and the law of ending up birthright as they take this step as a racial discrimination. Conclusions: Taking in view, all the issues which were being discussed above is that American Nation with their government support should take some positive steps to preserve their own rights in priority. The governing bodies are supposed to design a rule of law which caters an American civilian with all facilities and should keep an appropriate number of immigration quota to avoid overcrowded cities which leads to different problems like street crimes, job priorities, medical help and educational facilities. America has to keep peace ties with rest of the world so its not possible to completely shut the doors for people of different culture, color or creed but it can be done with a policy consensus for better compatibility of Native American and an Immigrant. Further more American Government have to be critical but polite with their strategies towards poor masses living in Latin America as they are also a part of America and should equal rights for a better living.
