? Book Review The Negro Inserts His/Her Inserts Grade Inserts 18 March The book The Negro has many concepts. The study delves on the audience, author’s purpose and other areas. The study incorporates the authors’ arguments and other areas of the research. The book The Nego teaches why each person acts or does not act in a certain way during each situation, including the slave trade situation. The Du Bois book shows the reasons why the sociological concepts, including the racial discrimination of the African Americans, are important. The same book (Du Bois 2001) focuses on the African American population during the 1800s, of Philadelphia. The book indicates the problems of the African Americans, including those who were transplanted as well as their enfranchisement which shoved the poor, ignorant and degraded African American community into both the political sphere and social life of the United States. The book shows that prejudice prevailed to the point where assimilation has become very difficult. In addition, the book discusses the social problem of the African Americans to achieve their ideals and dreams because of their incapacity to implement a certain preferred alternative to their current discriminated station in American society. The book scrutinizes the impossibility of affording the African American Population the normal economic and social development because the larger White American population does not agree to implement the social rules of order. The African American problem The book is aimed at a specific group of audiences. The book is aimed at the American population. The population is composed of people from different persuasions in life. The population includes African Americans, White Americans, Asian Americans, European Americans, and other residents of the United States. The population includes persons in government, people in private companies, and the jobless people. The population includes people in California, Alaska, and New York. The book is aimed at both the scholars in the field of Sociology as well as general readers. The scholars are persons devoting a majority of the studies to Sociology. On the other hand, the general readers are students who need the basic knowledge of Sociology. The authors’ purpose in writing the book is to make changes to the African American social problem. The author wants to bare the injustices done on the African Americans during the 1800s. The author wants to discuss the atrocities and other inhuman acts on the African Americans. The author offers actual facts in order to persuade the White Americans and other Americans to remove discrimination from the face of American society. The author has several central arguments. First, the author emphasizes the White American discriminated the African Americans. For example the African Americans were refused the right of suffrage. Another example is the White Confederate soldier’s butchering of African Americans who surrendered in the Civil War’s Fort Wagner attack. The African Americans were bought and sold as slaves before the Civil War. Further, the author argued emancipation was a serious issue. Millions of African Americans reached the West Indies, North and South America, and several parts of Africa. The uplift of the African American population was in the path of the European White people. In the same manner, the uplift of the same population was blocked by American White people. In addition, the author argued that solutions to the African American problem were slowly but surely unfolding. The African American population received partial enfranchisement. The same population was allowed their new right of formal early education. In addition, the average African American received salaries for their farm work. The author used research methodology. The research methodology includes the use of secondary references. The references included several references belonging to the 1800s. The same author also used references from the 1900s. The authors used several characteristics to add emphasis to their sociology concepts (Plummer, 2010). The author used maps of Africa to show emphasis on how far the African American race had travelled. The author used maps to indicate the global discrimination of the African American population The author has key findings and conclusions. The findings and conclusions indicate that the African American population had travelled to several parts of the world. The same conclusions and include there are several factors that forced the African American population to suffer from slavery and discrimination focusing on the important realms of ideology and belief of the contemporary world where there are currently influential changes (Andersen, 2012). Another finding and conclusion indicated that the social concepts of the time indicate the White Americans had the right and authority to buy and sell the African American population as personal property, just like cars, toys, and homes. Finally, the author indicates historical data influences current sociological concepts, especially the current state of discrimination of the African American population. There are several strengths of the authors’ arguments. First, the arguments are based on complementary several secondary data. Second, the authors combined resources to ease out confusion when coming up with their sociology concepts. Third, the arguments are based on reliable secondary information. There are some weaknesses in the authors’ arguments. First, the author must use more charts to drive his point to a more realistic or horrifying levels. Such levels awaken the average American citizen to abhor and eliminate the discrimination of the African American population in all sectors of American society. Second, more tables should be incorporated in the book to persuade the average citizen to increase penalties on White Americans who violate Federal discrimination laws. Third, more graphs will increase the reliability of the authors’ presentation of the unforgivable patterns of racial discrimination. The book does not lack information or argumentation. The book includes the basic sociology concepts, discrimination of African Americans (Andersen, 2012). The book includes convincing secondary information. The book includes all relevant argumentation to prove the authors’ theories. Authors’ formal writing style is appropriate to the indented book audience. There are other facts about the book. The book facts are generally accurate because they are based on secondary resources. The authors have no significant errors or weak arguments. All the ideas of the book complementarily relate and augment the other ideas and arguments on the same topic. Scanning over the book indicates there is harmony and unity among the different theories of the authors. Using secondary resources, the author’s point of view is objective. Because of the authors’ objectivity, language bias is eliminated from the book. According to the above discussion, the book Du Bois book includes several concepts. The authors include data needed the audience, focusing on the African American population. The authors’ arguments and other areas of the research are beneficial to the book readers. Clearly, the Du Bois book explains the reasons why the sociological concepts, including the racial discrimination of the African Americans, are important in understanding societal behavioral patterns.
