The investigation was launched immediately to identify the perpetrator. The Forensic Unit arrived at the crime scene and realized that the victims were already dead, and thus it was a murder case. At the time investigators arrived at the area, the murderer had already disappeared. They were forced to secure the scene and collect any trace of evidence that could help them to carry out the investigation and establish the cause of death of the victim and who was the accomplishers. They can obtain different items as the evidence. The item ar red substance that was confirmed to be blood, cockroach 45 auto casing, 40SW casing, yellow pills, red pills and green pills, unknowns currency, syringe and purple fingernail among others. These evidential items collected were kept to help carry out further investigation. Crime Scene Location and Incident The Crime scene was in 3700 Willow Creek Rd. The Prescott, AZ 86301 Parking Lot F. The victims were found dead lying on the parking lot. People had already gathered before the investigators arrived and ordered them to disperse. The scene was secured, fenced and searched for a trail that could lead to arrest and identification of the perpetrators. Though the time the investigator arrived at the parking lot, the suspects were not there. Investigators assured the mass they would find the culprits and in bring them to book for the heinous act. In many years, Prescott has enjoyed the peace and tranquility of its kind. Many people regarded it safe to walk freely and do business even at night without fear. This incident has raised tension in the area as they are fear of more attacks. It has led an increase in security checks for all incoming visitors because the local thinks the perpetrator of crime were people from outside the town. It is not to say that they there are no suspects. Investigators The investigators arrived at the crime scene at 1338 hours. They were well equipped with tools and ready for different task involved at the crime scene. Their team comprised of Abigail Christensen, Sterling Maynard, Rashed Alshamsi, Ahamed Alshamsi, Mohammed Alkaabi, Arian Dragos and Fahad Shuhail. Another group of investigators from the forensic unit also contributed to the investigation. All of them had roles to play in finding the truth behind this scene. Some minutes after they arrived at the scene, they called Coroner. It was around 1340 hours and before starting investigating the crime, they had to inform their bosses to come to the area. The team was joined by Chief Meunier in five minutes, and later Coroner John Smith graced the event. The media though were not invited, did not miss this occasion. Shortly after the boss had arrived, they made their appearance. Investigators directed them to a secure area in order to preserve and protect the crime scene. This event has attracted many people even the journalist and reporters were in the parking lot waiting to be given a chance to enquire how the crime happened. Abigail Christensen was given the mandate of coordinating other members of the team. She gave out directives and grouped the investigators in an order that each will have a role and work to accomplish. Abigail also planned the events to take place and controlled all the activities at the scene. Arian Dragos, the investigator in charge of taking Photographs. As a team photographer, Arian was taking photos at the crime scene. Measurement and sketch tasks belong to Ahmed Alshamsi, Mohammed and Rashed Alshamsi. They secured the scene by putting the borderline in order to make sure that people did not cross and interfere with the activities within the crime boundaries. They undertook the role together in order to help each other in holding the tapes for measurement purposes. Fahad Shuhail assumed the search role. Fahad was searching for evidence in the area, and he managed to identify and collect a number of physical evidence. Finally, Sterling was the custodian of the evidence. All the materials collected were given Sterling to carry and store. Sterling was given the mandate of preserving the evidence and making sure that it was in safe place. The team worked together as one that facilitated the completion of the task. They were through with their work at 1500 hour, and they closed the crime scene. At this time they left and the evidence collected was put under investigator Sterling Maynard custody (Horswell, 52). Series of Events and Time Events took place at the different time in the scene. A group of eight investigators arrived at the scene at 1338 hours. Upon the arrival, they secured the scene and confirmed that both victims were killed. The process of securing the scene and confirmation of the victims took the investigators two minutes. At 1340 hour, they called the Coronel and informed him about the situation they found the scene. Then Chief Meunier arrived at the crime scene at 1345 hours. Later the Coroner known as John Smith arrived at 1407 hours. The local news broadcaster came to the scene at 1415 hours and shown another secured location but not in the crime scene for protection purposes. The investigator started collecting evidence1346 hours after the arrival of Chief Meunier. The cockroach was the first item to be seen and picked as evidence at 1346, and the second at 1348 hours. The red and blue pills were collect at 1359 hours. They spend about 1 hour and 15 minutes collecting the other evidence. The last item to be received was a red substance that was confirmed to be blood.It was at 1457 hours. The investigators were through with their work at 1500 hour, and they closed the scene and went away with the collected evidence. All those events were taking place on March 26, 2015 in the afternoon hours (Horswell 25). Evidence The investigators were able to secure the scene in time. They managed to collect 37 items in the scene. The coordinator had given the responsibility of searching the evidence to Fahad Shuhail. Fahad gathered 37 items from the scene and handed it to Sterling Maynard who was responsible for putting the evidence in custody. Each item located at the scene and portable were collected and labeled so that they can help carry out investigation thoroughly. The Fahad first collected two cockroaches from the scene between in a period of two minutes interval. Then Fahad went further and obtained a 45 auto casing, 40SM casing, and spider, these were found in different points around the area. Red pills and blue pills which decorated the ground were collected at end 1300 hour. Other different types of Pills also had spilled all over the ground; it took some time to gather them all. At starting at the following time, Fahad collected a red substance that was confirmed to be blood after undergoing Kastle-Meyers Test. Another red material was collected at 1457 hours and was still confirmed to be blood stain. One spider was collected, two green pill and one blue pill. Also, Fahad picked one 40SW casing, two 45 auto casing, and unknowns currency. The evidence collected for investigation purposes. The victims were found dead, but the cause of death was not known. The investigators had to collect fingerprint and other traces of evidence in order to identify the cause of death and the person who might have caused death. To facilitate the research they had to collect a lot of evidence from the scene. Sterling carried the collected evidence for storage purposes.
