The challenge is on personal evaluation which may not reflect the true nature or impact of racism because it does not employ the standard evaluation actions. The main question is; “what can one do to change his personal choices to reflect acceptance of the races in the society? This is the real dilemma that creates serious confusion between affinity to the race and acceptance of the dynamic society. The same situation is depicted in the movie Crash released in 2004. In fact, the major challenge in the movie is the power of personal conviction over societal values. The two black actors try to break away from the norm by trying to state that they are civilized. However, the truth comes out clearly in the story when they steal from a white lady. The lady initially froze in their first encounter indicating the association of black with terrorism. The later events indicate the truth of insecurity arising from the existence of African Americans in the neighbourhood.

The struggle to shake of the racist belief is shown in the behaviour of the two main characters in the movie.
