Name Institution Date 2 C-5 Restate project aims & objectives: Purpose The purpose of the website is to promote the company with methods that attract the appropriate potential customers towards the Internet Company. It will intuitively direct potential customers to the web pages that attract the companies target audience. The website purpose will entice audience to have interaction with the website with a lot more special quality during the initial visit (Zhang, et al., 2009). Objectives The website also be created with the objective of enticing its visitors by supplying an interactive journey that visitors take to experience streaming music, however it is a self-guided visit, and guests will more than likely not click on the path the website could expect in less the website offers easy navigation through WebPages for accessing the relevant information. A website with a well-defined purpose is unique and site visitors need to instantly acknowledge it with ease. The other objective of the website is to identify the purpose and will benefit the company by marketing to its target audience with valuable popular tags. When the time comes towards submitting the website to web directories, the word information inserted into the tags will entice visitors to visit the website. Impact There are several elements to take into consideration when designing a website, applying best practices to the web design is very important. The website organization is largely determined by the website architecture with three common types of web organization, which will be presented in this paper. The designer must concentrate on the target audience for the website and constantly take into account how the target audience will view the website (Zhang, et al., 2009). The designer should adhere to the recommendations of the World Wide Web Consortium (W3C) and run the web site’s Web addresses via their appropriate assessment tools to be certain that the highest possible standard of accessibility is provided. The content in addition to structure of the website ought to be meticulously designed for simplicity use and provide concise information to the visitor. The overall presentation of the website is required to be eye appealing without overwhelming graphics and sounds, although graphics help make webpages compelling and provide the user interactivity, the design should not use more media than needed. An important part of the designers planning involves continuous improvement by constantly evaluating and maintaining the website. The included material will provide techniques that will help develop a successful website for the Internet web company. 2-C 6 Project Scope Statement Item Description Assumptions and constraints It is assumed that there is high internet access among the target audience. Therefore, the project of creating the website is going to be feasible since it will be a way of reaching to the large audience, who will become the clients in the website. It is also assumed that the use of the website will promote the attraction of many customers to the company and hence will result in wider customer base. There are some constraints as far as this web development project is concerned. Among these constraints are the lack of expert web designers and programmers, and the high cost of hosting the website. Participants/stakeholders The main participants will be the web designers, web developers, programmers and web administrators. On the other hand, the major stakeholders are the users of the website, namely the target audience and the owners of the organization whose website is being designed. There will be the project team manager who will be in charge of all the different specialists. There will also be some team members who will be overseeing some other duties in the course of the project. Project Deliverables Among the project deliverables are the establishment of a functional website that the audience can easily access and navigate, the production of the clear site plan, and the generation of the website operation or navigation plan, and finally the generation of the program that runs the website. The project team is therefore; expect to come up with all these as the major deliverables in the web design and development project. Out of scope items Some of the items that will be out of scope in this project will be things like Team Responsibilities When it comes to this web project management, effective communication is a crucial factor that is necessary for the success of the organization. Thus, there are some principles in management communication that must always be put into practice by the team members to ensure that effective communication is not distorted within the organization. There are various communication norms in this business setting that the team should embrace. Normally, a business setting communication takes three forms, that is written, verbal and body language. Within the organization, communication among team members must always be polite and respectful as this leads to a strong camaraderie feeling and enhances cohesion in employee groups. When dealing with customers, communication with them must embrace respect and courtesy because this is crucial in maintaining them. Apart from displaying good communication, the team, which consists of different specialists has to participate and discuss together for the common good of the project. The team members have to make their honest contributions to the project. 2-C 7 Project Design Statement Design Rationale The website has to be designed with the rationale of being credible so that it can attract more users. A credible website in this case gives a good first impression and is attractive, the navigation is easy and intuitive, and it has no generic photos. The website should also have press mentions and customer testimonials, must feature a constant flow of reviews by customers, both bad and good, should refer to specific clients and should have connection with reputable organizations. All these will help in ensuring that the website meets the rationale of bringing more users on board. Principle Design Considerations The website will be designed with Straightforward navigation bars using either graphic or text based navigation allow it to be obvious to website users to know where they are, and where they can go next. The text in the navigation bar is actually stored in the image files. These methods of inserting text within navigation bars are commonly used to produce interactive webpages. “Navigation and presentation are important Web design elements making navigation easier eliminates user frustration” (Zhang, et al., 2009). The majority of visitors will not likely search a webpage for navigation. It is always best to present links in an obvious area. This will assist your visitors to explore and guide them through the website. Hence the web designer has positioned the navigation links on a page, it must remain consistent through the entire website. This website will use techniques that web designers have developed to guide visitors by adding icons and graphics to the navigation system (McFarland, 2010). Design Treatment Overview This website will be designed in such a way that it has a high reasonable load time, adequate contrast in text-to-background, has a good spacing and font size, hence is easy to read, and has a prominently placed company logo, a tagline that makes the company’s purpose clear, has a clear path to company information, clear path to contact information, easy identifiable main navigation, clear and concise navigation levels, a company logo connected to homepage, is easily accessible, has descriptive and clear major headings, consistent styles and colors, user-friendly and meaningful urls and explanatory html page titles. Discuss information architecture The main web development software tool application that will be utilized in this project will be Dreamweaver. This is a full website development and management system that works along with web technologies like HTML, XHTML, CSS, and JavaScript. Dreamweaver also includes many tools designed for managing websites as soon as they are constructed. The web designer can search for broken links, use templates to quickly design a website, as well as edit a site with Dreamweaver management tools (McFarland, 2010). Using graphics in the website will enhance visual interaction. Various types of graphics will be inserted into the webpage to help visitors navigate. Web designers use their imagination and creativity by inserting graphics on a webpage to entice website visitors. Graphics on a webpage can be: • Photographs • Banners • Company logos • Navigation buttons The Audio content required for the website will be used by the permission from the legal owner of the audio material. The websites primarily graphics will use a company called Shutterstock.com which provides high-quality illustrations and videos, vectors, and licensed photos that can be integrated into a website. This company offers account plans to download images daily, which provide specific licensing for website use (Felke-Morris & Felke-Morris, 2011). This website will implement all standard rules of accessibility. The federal government is promoting accessibility by law and the private sector is following its lead. The World Wide Web Consortium (W3C) is also active in this cause and has created the Web accessibility initiative (WAI). A website needs to be created to attract its intended target market; the people who use the website might be seniors, young adults, university students or even young couples. Website design methods need to be developed to reach the intended target audience (Rainer & Cegielski, 2009). The factors of the website layout should depend on the usability and capability of the web site visitor. A web designer will typically consider the graphics, text, color, and also animations to attract the target audience usability features. The website will also consider a style of technical support that has been distinguished between high-tech, and low-tech audience (McFarland, 2010). The architecture map of the website will provide a roadmap with a visual communication aspect rather than textual communication. A visual representation of the website can describe the overall map of the website design plan and structure. The website organization is largely determined by the website architecture with three common types of web organization; the designer must concentrate on the target audience for the website and constantly take into account how the target audience will view the website (Felke-Morris & Felke-Morris, 2011).
