Bitdefender Antivirus Free Edition and Avira Antivirus Free Edition will be the main focus. In comparing the two anti-viruses, the analysis will be carried out in terms of their main features, their advantages and disadvantages, their functionality, their ease to use, and their footprint. The reason for choosing the two tools is because they are among the best ranked free anti-viruses in the market currently. Moreover, they have more features as compared to other free tools.

Bitdefender Antivirus Free Edition is a version of the Bitdefender’s paid solutions anti-virus (Rusen, 2015). It mainly focuses on providing the user with the basic essential protection every Windows user should have. It provides on-demand and real-time protection against any known or unknown malware threat. Additionally, it has a web scanner. As per my experience with the anti-virus, it works well for any user. Not only does it utilize the same engine and database as Bitdefender’s paid version, but it is also lightweight. For example, during the testing of this product, the CPU usage was negligible, and the RAM usage was around 16 MB. However, the RAM usage was not always at 16 MB. It peaked at around 125MB before it cleaned itself and then jumped to 16 MB. The RAM usage then gradually crept to 50 MB multiple times after which it cleaned itself up and jumped down to 16 MB. Finally, the RAM usage settled to around 16 MB with the occasional spike to 55 MB.

It combines non-signature based and traditional signature-based protection to assist detect known and not yet known threats in the computer. This is made possible by its active virus control, intrusion detection system, and B-HAVE. The active virus control looks to detect any not yet known threats, the intrusion detection system stops any processes that access the network or internet with questionable behavior, and B-HAVE analyzes the behavior of programs in a safe environment to make sure that no illicit code is executed (Stair & Reynolds, 2015). ...Download file to see next pages Read More

It is a member ofthe genus Lyassavirus of the family Rhabdoviridae (Rupprecht) Name of disease The virus causes a disease known as Rabies. Characteristics and morphology The size of the rabies virus is approximately 60 nm ? 180 nm. The virus has an outer envelope, an internal protein core (nucleocapsid), and a bilayer of lipid covered with transmembrane glycoprotein spikes. The genome of the virus encodes five proteins, which are related with “either the viral envelope or the ribonucleoprotein (RNP) complex” (Rupprecht). ...Anti-Virus Analysis... Anti-Virus Analysis... 17 June 2007 Letter (Virus Paper) Dear Granny Thank you for the previous latter and pieces of advice yougave me. They helped me to take correct decisions in my life and avoided possible difficulties. Today, I am going to write you about viruses and their impact on human health. In one sense, a virus has stripped away all nonessential elements and reduced the biological process to its most elemental, parasitic terms. Yet, in other ways, viruses seem highly evolved: each one is specialized for a particular slot in the food chain, and each performs its single function with efficiency. As a group, viruses are tiny, ranging from ten to four hundred nanometers in diameter. The smallest are barely larger...

Ebola virus

...Anti-Virus Analysis... virus and similar viruses use a combination of virally en d enzymes and host en d enzymes to replicate alongside host cell structures. Their self-assemblage in the host cell develops viral macromolecular structures. Virus attacks by sticking to the host receptors via glycoprotein surface peplomer. Its endocytosis into macropinosomes occurs there. Fusion of viral membrane with vesicle membrane facilitates its penetration into the cell, and nucleocapsid generates into cytoplasm. Encapsidated negative-sense genomic ssRNA helps synthesize polyadenylated monocistronic mRNAs (3’ to 5’). The mRNA’s transaltion into viral proteins takes place with the ribosomes, tRNA molecules of the host cell. Viral proteins that get processed ...

The disease predominantly affects humans and nonhumans such as primates namely, chimpanzees, gorillas, and monkeys. In reference to the World Health Organization (WHO), the Ebola fatalities average to about ninety percent of all the infected persons (Peters and LeDuc ix). Despite the high fatality rates, the illness still lacks proper mechanisms of treatment. Ebola is found to be caused by the viruses of the Filoviridae (filovirus) family. Accordingly, there exists up to five Ebola virus species. Out of the five, only four...
