Digital Conversions of Broadcasting and Telecommunications In an era where human progress is soaring at a dizzying rate, society must adapt its technology to solve current world issues. In a world where the Internet, cell phones and notebook computers are becoming a necessity for everyday living, we often forget about those who still suffer attempting to meet their basic needs, including clean water, food and health care. It is time for the developed world to use their technology to help those who can not help themselves. By using the new technologies there will be advances in medical services, a new economy based on the Internet, emerging information technologies and new methods for the farming and industrial sectors. More importantly, these technologies will provide the education and knowledge for these people to become prosperous nations that can fend for themselves and provide for their people. Transfers of technology from the developed world to the developing world will improve the standard of living, increase efficiency in production and become a base for economic growth, without this transfer these countries will fall further into poverty and economic ruin, with little hope for survival. For most people of the developed world, the developing world is not something they concern themselves with; they do not see it everyday and therefore it does not exist. This could not be farther from the truth. The developing world is in need of help but the developed world constantly turns a blind eye.
Furthermore, one must understand that science and technology are making advances at an amazing rate. From telephones to the Internet, calculators to computers, cars to rockets and satellites, we are submerged in a sea of discoveries and inventions made possible by Science. Fields like Medicine and communications have made inroads into our cultures and thus our lifestyles. So vast is the impact of Science in our lives, that people fear the unthinkable. It leads them to accusations such as Science tries to play God. However, according to Hume, God is part of the order that exists in the universe. If so, then Science is just helping us discover the Almighty, which most people perceive as the Ultimate Truth. For some people science and technology are those actions, which fill their life with meaning. Medicine for instance, is one of the thousands and thousands of fruits that we have harvested from this friendship. It has helped humankind in innumerable ways. People have started taking charge of their own health and life. Therefore, the life expectancy of a person living in the nineties is about twenty years more on an average from that which people enjoyed at the start of the last century.
Now, moving on towards the digitization of broadcast and telecommunications segment shows us that there have been advancements in the related field. For ages, one used to wonder how a picture could be transmitted miles away to different locations and suburbs up country and far reaching destinations but the same was made possible through the television and in the case of sound, through the use of telephones. However the giant leap came in the form of digital basis of these technologies when there was advancement exhibited by the technologists who brought in novel means of communication and broadcasting. What this means is the fact that digitization has improved the overall process of bandwidth associated with telecommunications and broadcasting as well as provided a number of different options which are now spoken of in the language of local area networks, satellite technologies, infra red and Bluetooth devices, Wi-Fi sets and so on. Digital conversions of broadcasting and telecommunications has raised the issue of costs and expenditures which have multiplied over a period of time and thus have looked down hard at the different features which tie in closely with the costs that are incurred so as to receive optimum technology and state of the art networks.
The digital conversions have benefited the broadcasting networks and telecommunications segments in the view that both of these are constantly given feed in real time with no hiccups as such and there are no negative points where the data seems to amiss. This is a point of advantage which seemed to be missing in the past eras since the breakthrough means that the people can now receive high quality reception of telecommunications and mobile networks sitting at their homes as well as watch WIMAX and EDGE enabled technologies while they are watching television or connecting their cellular phones on the Internet bandwagon. With the changing times, we are witnessing a shift in the approach of companies which are attempting to have digital regimes and related architectures in place within them so that there is a better mode of networking and delivery of service between the business processes and the information technology infrastructures that are already in place. The web services and the related applications are thus linked with the platforms which have open standards and easy linkage with the basic norms prevalent within the mobile media content and the connected technology. The aspects of processing the same with business services is something on which work needs to be done so that the service oriented mechanism can be strengthened further and there could be a better lineage between the related units and divisions of the business, not to forget the mobile media networks and the technological unit as well. However for this to happen in the first place, the need is to delve into the basics of digitization related with broadcasting and telecommunications segments with what goes into the right frame of delivering quality and value for the customers and the end users and what does not end up as being the very same. The return on investment is only achieved when all the activities are in line with the initial research which is done in the digital media technological angles and after this has been achieved, the need is to better equip oneself with the changing market trends and practices which are prevalent within the respective countries, no matter whichever worldwide zone they are situated in.
