Network design for XYZ Company XYZ Company needs a wide area network that covers a long range of network access. The company needs a network to connect the four departments that are in different headquarter locations by using a network that is applied to the wide geographical areas. The headquarters of the offices are at a longer distance making the Wide Area Network to exchange information and data within the long distance. One of the major key areas to be considered are the ability of the users in the XYZ Company to be able to access the network appropriately and satisfy their requirements. This will be achieved by identifying the scalability of the Wide Area Network and understand its nature. This will also include the connectivity of the vast distances that are within the headquarters of Paris, Tokyo, Los Angeles and New York. The network to be considered will depend on the flow of the network, and the number of errors that can be made in the network connection. With the wide area network, the network will be so fast and be of effective when transferring data and information. There will be a lot of connections within the network including the physical flow of the network, circuit switching, switching of the messages and packages and the development of the Wide area network to be used(Tony 2003). With the wide area network, the flow of the network will depend on the methods used for the information and data transportation. There are a number of networks to be involved in the connections between the headquarters. At the same time, the administrators on each of the office departments in the four headquarters will be able to have a good security measures on the network and be able to monitor the entire traffic, growth and the problems. The network will be required to transfer the information and data in form of data packets in all the offices of the company. With the circuit and message switching, the company will be able to have the data transferred at ease without any problem and be provided quickly without any problem. Another reason for the architecture is that information to be transferred within the offices need to remain original without being distorted in any form (Tony 2003). The information should remain in the same situation when sent from the sender to the recipient. When the numerous problems and attacks face the data being transferred, the network structure will be able to protect the information and offer security and make the network to reach at a safer position. The network will also have another sub networks that will be divided in the offices having different users accessing the network. For the users at each of the offices, the large network should be plain and invisible in a manner that most of the users do not get to access the information of the servers and identify whether the information is kept to the first or second server. This will secure the information of the company and protect the copy rights and secrets behind the success of the company. It is also recommended that the users in Los Angeles and New York be only having the network. They should also be know that the network is available and be satisfied with the information and access the information accurately. The network will also depend on the kind of computers to be used in the offices and the number of the offices that will be available at each of the headquarters. Terminals will also be provided in the offices of the headquarters along with the servers needed for the company’s success. This will include the printing services that will be require to be given the best network connection. The file transfer connection should also be included in the network framework between the offices at each department (Tony 2003). The mail and servers connection will also be considered in the connection by not showing the exact numbering of the servers and the computers in the office headquarters. The information kept in the servers, routers and any of the communication devices should be kept intact and be only revealed to the technicians. There should be only one administrator in the office that will be having the vital information concerning the networking devices and routers. The computers of the human resource’s office should be connected in a way that it accesses the server for him or her to access the vital information. At the same time, the other users’ computers should be protected from accessing the internet but is able to be connected to the internet. The major key computers used by the company top secret users need to access the server either in a building of any office either in Los Angeles, New York, Tokyo or Paris. The network should also be given the ability for two or more computers to access the same database without any problem. This is also a difference that there should also be only one node that will be accessing the network at any particular time. This will allow the concept of the dots networks where all the computers in the company will be connected to the network. The idea of shuffling of the data where by the use of large quantity of the data will be restricting including the large images and videos. The routing technique should also be introduced in a manner that the large files will be well arranged and be organized in the required manner. Switching is a process that will be used to have steps and segments to be used in the requirements other than just having the sender and the receiver. The circuit switching will be having a connection that is physical in a manner that the sender’s information reaches the sender. The goodness with circuit switching is that the connection remains on as long as the two parties are communicating. This makes the connection to exist in within the required network and the communication is always being successful. With the best communication, the company needs to come up with the devices of communication. The users using the network for communication should own their specific bandwidths within the communication when they are connected. The company will have the ability to transfer data at the required speed in order to avoid unnecessary data wastage. On the other side, the switching will have a fixed amount of data flow among the computers in the XYZ Company. The only limitation of the circuit switching is that it does not allow the user to use the unused bundles. For the message switching, the connection for the company will not have a physical connection within the users. For the company, the connection will have the two switching technologies and the network will rely on the message technology of switching. The message being sent will depend on the various kind of switching it will use whereby the message will be transferred to the headquarters at Tokyo, Los Angeles, NEW York and Paris respectively. There should be a central computer at every station that will be monitoring this other computers. This will be made possible by routing the network to the specific stations at every computer in the headquarters offices. On the same way of receiving the information, the computers in between the network should receive the information so that the sender is able to read all the information that he or she is allowed to have and the address of the other information be scrutinized. The information is required to be sent to the users who are required to receive the information. An important information to be used in the message switching is that the intermediate users in the company, they will not be required to forward the information fast without having enough checking of the information. This gives the users an advantage to have a look at the message without sending it to the receiver fast. The information to be passed should be in question in a manner that not everybody receives complete information (Tony 2003). There should be security in respective departments like Human Resource department, marketing department and in the administrators’ offices. The information also needs to be packet switched in a manner of routing the company’s information including the Ethernet and the use of the Token Ring within the offices of the headquarters. The administrators in the company will be required to have the source and destination of all the data being sent where by the information will be broken down into packets that will mark the Wide Area Network routing information. The packets made within the network will be routed having a technology of the Packet Switching Exchanges (PSEs) in the process of sending the information. Incase of information retrieval, the information can be retrieved from the routing tables of the company’s database. This will also be an advantage because the information being retrieved can be forwarded to the administrators of the company. The introduction of the virtual circuits will be of a highest use because they will give the administration the ability to have a solution over certain conflicts within the users because information will be passed perfectly through the administrators within the company’s network. The network will also allow the users of the company to be sending multiple messages to the respective recipients of the company users. In the connection of the network, the company needs to have a connection to be used in the network whereby there is a use of the wireless bundles. This will enable the company to have a good connection whereby the information will reach to the respective recipient users. The wireless connection will be of an advantage because of the packet switch used in the company. The company needs to have a powerful network that needs to be secured in manner that no intruder or outsider to access the company’s information. With the networks structure discussed above, the company will have a good communication and sending of data that will be of great help to the company. Works Cited Kenyon, Tony.
