The other important understanding that came about during the visit was that Kaizen was used by the Japanese companies as part of their system of operations planning by allowing the management of complex target oriented operations. My organization, Eurocar is one of the largest international car rental companies operating in Cyprus Island. Had he visited my, author A would have found a number of both similarities regarding the involvement of employees in the continuous improvement of the organization.

For example, just like the use of Kaizen concept by the Japanese companies, Europcar has also developed a system and policy of continuous improvement that best fits into Brunet and News 2nd level (intermediate level of kaizen activities where a simple solution can be implemented on the shopfloor but reported on with an explanation of the situation as well as an assessment of the contribution. In order to effectively implement creativity and innovation through continuous improvement without contradicting the traditions and values of the society, my organization developed alternative ideas of Kaizen that significantly helped in the improvement the quality of the services by linking the organization with creativity (Cane 88).

For instance, unlike the Japanese Kaizen that typically mobilizes large numbers of their workforce to work towards organizational improvement, Europcar contrastingly spearheaded its innovation and creativity efforts through the involvement of selected experts in order to achieve the same objectives. However, compared to the practice of Kaizen by the Japanese companies as was evidenced in the findings of the study, some of the differences that author A would have found in my company include the increased focus on customer satisfaction as the basis of our continuous improvement as opposed to organizational leadership.
