Hierarchical containment structure is distributed to its elements, which include; Active Directory forest, Organizational units and the domains in forest. Benefits, which come with the deployment of AD DS and initiation of hierarchical containment structure include; first, the security of data within the company is guaranteed. The forest creates platforms of authority by administrators and hence each worker will have limits to what they access within the databases. Secondly, AD DS can be partitioned by supplementing domains. The partitioning helps in the replication of information only where it is required. Enhancing the partitioning enables the global scaling of networks, which have inadequate available bandwidth. Reliability in the replication process ensures data is not replicated unnecessary and hence saves available resources. During the replication process, domain controllers in different sites also receive any available changes; however, this process is less frequent and hence limit network bandwidth consumption. Global Catalog Deploying a new global catalog server for FPF’s sites would not be advisable for the Network Administrator. The global catalog server when implicated on the already existing site will increase traffic within the site during replication process. Reduction of congestion for any site makes it easy to access data quickly within the site and hence the network administrator should opt to reduce congestion within the site. This hence improves the performance of the site. Global Catalog implication involves entry for all objects within the FPF’s site forest but few properties are available for each entry. In this case, the developed forest shares a global catalog with other servers, which holds copies. Implicating the global catalog will require extra or more hard disk space. The network administrator should consider adding a global catalog server for all sites available and ensure configuration of universal group caching for the sites.
