Cloud Computing Cloud computing is the newest technological application that is changing the world. Cloud computing is likely to transform every sector of life in the near future. The invention and continued use of cloud computing will lift off a great burden from businesses. For along time, computers have dominated the business world. Computers have made business running quite easy and fast. However, business people without sufficient knowledge in information technology have suffered. There are occasional losses of important data and breakdown of machine and these things have brought businesses down.
In the world of marketing, an individual lacking the skills of operating websites for online selling and advertisements faces difficulties. Cloud computing is here to ease such trends in marketing. C loud computing is a process of making use of the maximum potential of computers in the same network. Through innovation, it is possible to share data and information with people using computers in the same network connection. Technically, a service provider will use applications installed in a server to manipulate any data stored in the server.
Due to this manipulation, any other computer connected to the server can easily load the data and files in the server as if that data existed in the computer (Van Haren Publishing, 2011, p. 3). As long as one has a web browser, he or she can access all files in the server. Data exists in clouds and there is easy and continuous access to the data all the time. Data is accessible even for individuals who do not own hardware and software. One does not need the knowhow to manage all the files because the service provider does exactly that.
Many computers can connect to the giant server. People may download the files simultaneously and the operation will be safe and fast. Information is shared among the computers in the cloud system. The internet is the cloud at the middle of all these computers keeping them connected. Cloud computing as an issue in marketing In the marketing world, cloud computing is contributing greatly. Businesses need to keep in touch with their clients. The cloud system offers services related to marketing.
Businesses are connecting to the clouds. These clouds are service providers who have expertise in managing the files. Businesses do not have the burden of managing their advertising websites (Rajshekar, 2001, p. 23). The service providers do this effectively and make all the data available to the business. All staff can access all the information they need concerning the business. Customers connecting to the cloud can access information on the available services and products. Interest of Cloud Computing to the marketing industry With the emergence of cloud computing, a business can establish a good customer management system.
Businesses can access information and data of customers from the clouds. All employees in a business can have access top all the required information regarding the business wherever they are. It is easy to establish links with clients and customers. Communication between the employees of a business and the potential clients is fast and very cheap. Customers have the opportunity to shop online and place orders. Since the service provider manages all the data, the business does not suffer any loss of vital information (Holtsnider and Jaffe, 2012, pp. 148). The business can operate from anywhere since it can stay connected to its clients.
Businesses are operating for twenty-four hours in the new era of cloud computing. A business can make more sales through the internet at a cheaper cost. If businesses optimize the use of cloud computing, they are likely to flourish. A business has the opportunity to update clients on any new development. Sales representatives understanding the use of the cloud system can make more sales. They can gather information regarding clients in real time. Such information will enable them co-ordinate their work much more efficiently.
Marketers accessing the information have the opportunities to analyze changes in the market trends at a faster rate. It becomes easier for such a business to lay strategies in good time and make informed decisions (Molen, 2010, p. 82). Other service providers offer recommendations to businesses after analysis of the available data. Marketing Theory 1. Marketing theory advocates for a goods-oriented marketing literature, which concentrates mainly on marketing mix idea, whose management is under full-time marketers function. 2. Therefore, clients and customers have access to all information available. 3. Through marketing theory, which advocates for service-based marketing concept businesses can make more sales and attract new clients each day. When companies will appreciate and absorb cloud computing in their businesses, the business world will be a better place. Bibliography Holtsnider, B. and Jaffe, D. 2012.
