English is fast becoming the main language for international commerce. Hence, the Government of Saudi Arabia invests a lot of money in scholarships to educate people from the Kingdom overseas, particularly in the UK. English is also used in numerous universities in the Kingdom to provide instructions.King Saud University is the largest and oldest university in the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia. It was established in 1957 and had the vision of modernizing the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia through the teaching of mainstream academic materials that diverges from the fundamental and traditional Orthodox Islamic materials that were more popular in the Arabian peninsular.
