Language of the Future Generation The 21st century is rather surprising and unusual. It is full of a variety of technical innovations, discoveries in the field of various sciences, advanced things around us. All these aspects develop humanity, help them to dominate the world and be in the spotlight. Man struggling to explore the planet and to use all the gifts that it offers him. We create convenience for modern life and improving them for the future generations. All these things are very important for the human race. But sometimes we forget about the one main thing - the language. The language is an essential component for each person, because thanks to it we communicate and develop, gain experience and share it with others. None of the modern things would have been created if a person does not know how to communicate with others. Moreover, all the things of the world are interconnected, because the language is a binding part of this chain. Therefore, the language deserves respect and special attention, as any important thing deserves respect and special attention. Every day we use many different words. These words are in turn arranged in a certain order, which forms a unique and interesting world. This world has its own laws and also the presence of certain secrets. The world of language besides has its own unique history. Therefore, the words, with which we share with each other, always act on our souls, thoughts and life in general. In everyday life we use language such often as breathe and walk. Communication is our common means of transmission of any information. But if we use a variety of words and phrases, we should think about their origin and meaning. After all, how correctly and competently we use the tools of our language, how we are perceived by others. One word can sometimes have on the interlocutor quite diverse influences. So from the early age, when we begin to learn the basics of grammar and vocabulary, we must diligently and in good faith to obtain this knowledge. Otherwise, the person will not know the correct language. So, when he becomes an adult and independent person, he would realize that good knowledge of the language would make him more authoritative and wise for example among his colleagues. However, he will experience a shame and a lack of success. I want to give an example of the writer Amy Tan. In her article “Mother Tongue”, she says that for a long time she thought of her mother tongue really pure and natural. She writes that “...all the forms of standard English that I had learned in school and through books, the forms of English I did not use at home with my mother”. (p.76)The writer did not attach importance to the correct language. She memorized the words and expressions of her mother, and she thought that they are correct. However, with age, Amy realized that her mother tongue is “broken”. She says: “...when I was growing up, my mothers “limited” English limited my perception of her. I was ashamed of her English. The fact that people in department stores, at banks, and at restaurants did not take her seriously, did not give her good service, pretended not to understand her, or even acted if they did not hear her”. (Tan, A., 1990, p.78)The sample of Amy Tan is a proof that the person should learn grammatically correct language. Indeed, in the future, high-quality knowledge will certainly affect the success of man and his relationships with people. The ability to use the language in the right form plays a huge role in our lives. The word can be a real weapon that can both injure and heal. Through language, people talk to each other, express their feelings and emotions. The language promotes the development of everything that we have now. Also, if we use the right language, we create a properly structured speech, which means the correct pronunciation, ability to use expressive means of language and knowledge of all the rules and regulations of usage. Every man of the modern world has to learn to control all the wealth of his language. This means that he will be able to clearly and available to express his ideas, and also use the right words in certain situations. These indicators reflect the development of the cultural level of all persons, regardless of nationality, age and profession. Full command of the language opens the aesthetic side of the human personality. Thus, the successful lingual developments of each person lead to a successful future of humanity. And thanks to the various writers and publicists, it will become more vivid and interesting. The spiritual values of the people will increase, which will have a positive impact on the other areas of development. It is become very sad and disappointing of knowing that recently we devote less and less time for language. As mentioned before, the modern world is full of technical innovation. This means that each of us increasingly seeking to study mathematics, physics, chemistry, but not the native language. I think that a person loses a lot. After all, a lot of literary masterpieces can be read through the study of language. Everyone has a free opportunity to learn a lot of valuable and necessary for spiritual development. Literature gives us the right to enrich and revive the language, drawing on the heritage of his people. Moreover, we must not only ourselves hard to learn native language, but also to call people of other nationalities, who use our language, learn it correctly. I want to draw attention to article of June Jordan “Nobody Mean More to Me than You and the Future Life of Willie Jordan”. He says that “...there are five countries, or 333,746,000 people, for whom this thing called “English” serves as a native tongue. Approximately 10 percent of these native speakers of “English” are Afro-American citizens of the USA”. (Jordan, J., 1984, Nov. 14, p.161) He shares the English language to English for Black and English for White. Writer convinced that the standard form of the language between two species differs and the English of black people are poorer. June Jordan writes: “Black English is not exactly a linguistic buffalo, but we should understand its status as an endangered species, as a perishing, irreplaceable system of community intelligence, or we should expect its extinction, and along with that, the extinguishing of much that constitutes our own proud, and singular, identity”. (Jordan, J., 1984, Nov. 14, p. 161) And I really agree with the opinion of the author. Native language is our pride and value. We carry it responsibility, and therefore we are obliged to defend its existence. In other case the language will be lost. The use of English by the other nationalities is a normal phenomenon for the 21st century. I believe that the more people who use a certain language, the more development is its culture. Moreover, if a person binds himself with a sort of language, he must make an effort to study its quality. I would like to talk about todays students, especially foreign ones, which have a special responsibility for the cultural development of the future generations. Since I am an international student from China, the theme of language for me is particularly serious and urgent. I know that the United States has the largest number of international students who are choosing to expand their learning experience and life in this country. Foreign students of Chinese origin are at the top of the number of foreign students among others. In this case, I am more thinly and carefully try to follow the progress in training my friends - students from China. After all, we not only need to deepen the knowledge in the study of our native tongue, but also to take seriously the study of English. Generally, the initial goal of every immigrant is to master the culture of other nation and accurately learn their language. The United States is a special country in which the nations are gathered from a variety of foreign countries. Therefore, if the foreign people do not be in good faith to learn English, in a short time its level as an international language will become low. We must not let this happen. After all, the United States is a country that opens doors for us and gives an opportunity to get an excellent education. Therefore, we, as foreign students thankfully have to keep the cultural history of friendly American people and to raise the level of development of their speech. Well, the language is the main instrument of knowledge and development of the external world. We can not know exactly what will be the language in the future. However, we can now make it better and more correct. One might think that in the future everyone will communicate only in one language. Perhaps it would be convenient. However, when, people of different nationalities will not be able to continue to develop their culture and to fill it with new knowledge. Of course, one of the contemporary common languages is English. And probably all future generations will know it, as it facilitates communication of all peoples. But I believe that in a few centuries, every tongue that now exists on the planet, retain its origin and history. Moreover, there will be other languages that will be included in a new history of the planet. The new nations will be created, and with them will be created the new culture. Humanity will grow and take on the rich spiritual condition. If a man of this day will be on the way of the “correct” languages, the errors in the future will be more frequent. The human race will become much smarter and better educated, and this in turn will be reflected in all other aspects of development. So, now everyone has to realize that he should be treated with care to his own language. Honoring the languages, which keeps the spiritual and cultural heritage, we respect ourselves and to our ancestors. After all, it is thanks to them we have such a variety of languages. Our ancestors made immortal languages. And our task is to preserve its immortality, and pass it on improve future generations. In conclusion it may admit that in any situation, we must not forget about the history of our languages. The purpose of mankind is as soon as possible to begin to improve the language skills for our general development. The technique, which is of considerable importance for the people, may eventually break down even if a person takes care of it and repair it when it deteriorates. Machinery equipments will never be for mankind something spiritual and real. Therefore, the language is always at the highest level among all significant things for humanity. And if we use the correctness speech, it will make people more confident that necessarily has a positive effect on the formation of their personality. In addition, any of us should be the one who create a social atmosphere of high morality. Man and language are inseparable. The language was originally founded in human nature. Therefore, if the languages develop, it will develop the civilizations. These two systems are inseverable to each other, which mean that a person is obliged to follow the successful development of each of them. If everyone carefully treats it seriously, all the goals will be achieved in the near future. And even our generation will be able to become a spectator of successful development of major civilizations. The correctness of each language of our planet will provide us with prosperous future, so we should not miss the chance of the amazing existence of the human race.
