Have the required session outline which will include the session structure as well as the objectives (Muchiri et al. 2008). Course design This session has been designed for individuals of different ages and important for the trainer Explain the concepts that are contained in the session plan in broad term as well as their application The data to be used is to be broken down into small understandable parts so as to make it easy for the trainees to understand. The practical skills ought to be is clearly explained and it should also be shown in a procedural sequence After demonstration of the practical skill by the trainers, the trainees will be able to practice what they learnt The environment ought to be conducive so as to encourage discussion as well as interaction between the trainees and the trainer and this will eventually enhance the learning process. Introduction There exist various procedures that are followed when preparing lemon iced tea. Lemon iced tea is said to bring about a refreshing mood after a long journey or a tedious day at work to a human mind. Based on various authors’ lemon iced tea is not only healthy but it also has both refreshing and appetizing properties. Homemade lemon iced tea is healthier as compared to the sachets that are readily available in the supermarkets since it does not contain any added addictives. The trainees need to acquire the necessary skills and need to state the steps to be followed. Assessment The trainees need to clearly and correctly identify the equipments and the ingredients that are been used when preparing lemon iced tea. Some of them include lemon, sugar, tea bags and ice cubes. The knowledge and skills possessed by those been trained will be assessed by the trainer and they will be graded them from the most best, average and the worst (Blanchard & Thacker 2007). Each trainee need to be assessed individually so as to grade them in relation to the practical skills they have gained and therefore time needed to be set aside at the end of the session so as to assess them so as to ensure that they have gained the necessary skill as well as knowledge and that they can be able to perform the practical skill by themselves (Werner & Desimone 2011). The following assessment principles will be used when assessing the trainees: explaining to the trainees the assessment context, process and purpose prior to the beginning of the session (Reiser & Dempsey 2011), focusing on the application of knowledge and skills that are required in performing the practical skill satisfactorily and making sure that there is sufficient evidence that will enable the assessor to make clear and unbiased judgment about the competence level of each of the participants (Carlopio & Andrewartha 2008) Procedure of preparing lemon iced tea One ought to follow the below procedure when preparing lemon iced tea: Boil a jug of water based on the amount that you want to prepare Add the tea leaves into the boiling water and let it boil for around 10 to 15 minutes until fully mixed Squeeze out the lemons and pour the juice into the water Stir gently and then take the tea leaves from the water Add some sugar (based on the amount of water and your taste) Stir and allow it to cool Pour the lemon tea into a glass and put the ice cubes Serve with snacks Conclusion This session plan and the supporting information and data for the trainer and the assessor will ensure that the session on preparing lemon iced tea is delivered with its required objectives, within the required time limit and in the most practical manner that is conducive and suitable to the trainees (Tovey & Lawlor 2008). The flexible assessment type that will be used in assessing the knowledge and skills gained will ensure that the trainee’s grades are valid, fair and equitable since each of them will be assessed individually on the competency of skills attained (Delahaye 2005).
