DRAFT ANALYSIS OF GOOGLE HUMAN RESOURCE PRACTICES Introduction The success of business organizations depends on the success of human resource practices and approaches. It is therefore, the duty of every business to ensure that it develops effective approaches through which it enhance the performance and success of its employees. Research has shown that employees are the most important resources that any business can have; this is because, people have the ability to create and implement strategies that can be used to enhance the success of the organisation.

Google, a renowned company that offers internet-relates products and services is a multinational American corporation that has become very successful because of effective strategies and approaches towards its human resource management among other important management processes. Some of the services that the company offers include cloud computing, online advertisements and other software. The company derives most of its profits from ad words, which is an online advertisements service, which puts adverts near search results for computer users.

Google’s Organizational Culture The organizational culture of any company plays an imperative role towards the success of its strategies and approaches. The kind of organizational culture at any company makes it attract some of the best talented staff in the particular industry. Google Inc., has managed to create an organizational culture that blends technological innovations with its strong and effective organizational culture. Definition and Overview Values Core values in any company are the most fundamental beliefs that any person and organisation has.

These values form the main guiding principles, which dictate the kind of actions and behaviors that to be taken towards its performance and growth. By having core values, a company can manage to determine the path to take in attaining its business goals. It is the duty of the company’s top management alongside its human resources to decide on the core values that the company is supposed to follow in attaining its goals and objectives. By having these values, a company gets the road map that it follows towards attaining its goals and objectives.

Norms Norms can be described as cultural products that represent people’s basic knowledge of what people do and think is the most appropriate to be done. Sociologists have often described norms as the informal understandings, which are instrumental in governing people and organizational behavior. Just like any other successful company, Google Inc., has its own norms, which have guided its performance since incorporation. Artifacts Artifacts or artefacts are simply things made or shaped by an individual like works of art, tools and objects that comprise of certain archaeological interests.

In archeology, artefacts are used to refer to objects that are gotten by archeological endeavors that may sometimes have certain cultural interest. Currently, modern archeologists often take great care in distinguishing materials culture from aspects of ethnicity, which happens to be very complex. Examples of some of the most common artefacts include pottery vessels, stone tools as well as metal objects that include weapons, jewellery and buttons. Google Reward Strategy Overview When a company establishes its operational and business strategy, it often comprises several components.

It is first viewed in the business context of its market, regulatory factors and various other elements that impacts on the business. Additionally, the total reward strategy for an organization defines the kind of essential plan that should guide its business operations. For this reason, it is supposed to be relevant and able to address the various emerging needs in the business The Concept of Total Reward Financial Rewards At Google Inc., one of the aspects of a total rewards programs comprises of financial rewards.

In this program, the company gives incentives to employees that have exceptional performance in order to motivate them towards effective performance and success. Additionally, the company gives commissions to staff that often handle more work portfolio in line with the set goals and objectives. By giving financial rewards, the company staff can manage to save or invest their excess disposable income, something that increases their performance in the company. Google has a set program that guides the distribution of financial rewards so that it is commensurate to the efforts done by its employees, thus ensuring that the rewards given are able to generate profits back to the company.

Non-Financial Rewards Non-financial rewards at Google inc., are often given with the purpose of eliciting intrinsic motivation from its employees. Some of the non-financial rewards given in this context include internal promotions, which are given to its employees in order to appreciate their hard work and dedication to the company. Non-financial rewards are much effective in enhancing performance at Google Inc. Other kinds of non-financial rewards at Google inc., include medical insurance schemes to its workers, holiday perks as well as retirement benefit schemes to workers that have dedicated their services and efforts to the company.

For this reason, the company has managed to use these rewards in ensuring that its staff is dedicated to the company Conclusion and Recommendations In conclusion, it is important to realize that human resource practices are essential towards the success and performance of companies. A company needs to ensure that it streamlines its approaches in ensuring quality performance and output. One of the best approaches is to ensure that staff motivation is held with high regard. When company staff is motivated, they often perform well, thus ensuring company success.

Google Inc., needs to ensure that it studies some of the current approaches towards staff motivation in the industry. This way, it can give financial and non-financial rewards that are commensurate to the efforts by its staff, thus reducing wastage and losses in the process. The company needs to empower its human resources towards effective performance, something that can give it competitive advantages in the industry that is having many companies emerging to offer competing wants.
