The paper "How Significant Is Career Development in the Reduction of Employee Turnover in Banks" is a wonderful example of an assignment on human resources. Many organizations are being faced with the challenge of employee turnover.  It can be costly to the organization to replace their employees who seek other opportunities in other organizations because new employees have to be considered, hired, and trained.  Employee turnover can have a negative overall impact on the organization and can also affect the general efficacy of company functions and eventually, its results and outcomes.

There is no specific answer which would sufficiently manage the issue of employee considered the issue relating to employee retention and employee turnover.  For some organizations, securing a Career Development Program in the workplace has worked well.  Career development has developed over the years as a specific resource in securing individual growth into a major tool or asset for many progressive organizations.  Most employees are assumed to want career advancement (Fink, 1992).  However, career development is not necessarily about getting ahead, but about being the best an employee can be and establishing a place in the organization which can best exemplify his capability while still contributing to company goals.

In the current competitive setting, it is important for all organizations to provide a work setting that supports growth and development.  Such goals can be secured by providing a Career Development Program in the workplace.  This program can potentially improve organizational commitment and loyalty among employees, improve job satisfaction, and decrease employee turnover (Werther and Davis, 1992).

At BSc Level, this problem is suitable for study because it discusses how emotional and personal elements that are intrinsic to employees are being considered by the larger organizational setting, specifically the Human Resources department. Motivation and job satisfaction are elements that would be observed by human resources.  These concerns may not be easily voiced out to managers who may actually have a bigger role in securing career development.
