Human Resource Strategy and Professional Practice - Example

The paper 'Human Resource Strategy and Professional Practice" is a great example of a human resources report. I had always wanted to have an opportunity of managing employees. This dream is about to be achieved. This is because it dawned on me that the only opportunity to manage employees is to study Human Resource Management. However, my aspiration did not just come into my mind. I had always wanted to emulate my father and even surpass his achievements.My father worked as an administrator with one of the major companies based in China.

Therefore, I was convinced that my father was doing the best job in the world. This is what motivated me to study HRM-related courses in college. I consequently, chose to study Human Resource Management, during my undergraduate. However, I chose to study do undergraduate HRM course in a foreign country, United Kingdom. This is where I believe HRM was introduced early and has been well established by now. This is contrary to China where HRM is still in its infant stages. Since my father was an administrator, in charge of management, I was really interested to hold a position like him.

In fact, I had the aim of taking after him and achieving greater success.Before I secured admission to Cardiff Metropolitan University, I had a chance of securing a placement for three weeks. I worked with one of the pharmaceutical companies in China during the three weeks. The pharmaceutical company in which I undertook my work experience placement is known as SINOPHARM. The placement gave me an opportunity to open my eyes to knowledge because I had to take part in various human resource management roles.

I also had a chance of being part of SINOPHARM’s projects, meant to enhance workforce performance. During this period of placement, I developed further human resource management understanding.During my practice, I faced various challenges. At times, some workforce policies had to be implemented on an emergency basis, causing a lot of pressure. However, the experience was worth enjoying. Though some incidences stressed me, I managed to move on. This is because the human resource professionals of SINOPHARM encouraged me and showed me some of the ways of getting out of stress traps.

In the future, I would like to develop my understanding of human resource management further. This is the reason why I joined Cardiff Metropolitan University.
