In this thesis, I sort to seek out the NGO’s role in social decadence in Haiti and the interest of the donors in helping Haiti. According to this thesis, it`s evident that the so-called donors, have been assisting on selfish interest and the NGO’s have practically taken over the management of the country knowingly. This has created the demise of structures and governance systems in Haiti.Haiti is a republic country that is present on the west at a small part of Hispaniola Island. In terms of size, it is the third large after countries like Cuba and the Dominican Republic.

Haiti hence is by default a Caribbean nation. Despite the significant progress of countries domicile in that particular part of the planet, Haiti is unfortunately poor, in fact, it is a third-world country that is dependent on food aid and donations for its survival.Haiti has one of the most unique features in the world. The fact is that its society is unstable and the future of its governance is shaky and the thread holding its stability together are the NGOs that have practically planted themselves in the country.

According to a relevant study documented by (Kristoff 82), Haiti has numerous NGO’s making it the country with the highest per capita percentage of the organizations in the world. The country’s history with NGO’s was mainly brought into the open in 2010 when the earthquake happened. Almost all the world’s attention was turned to Haiti, with billions of dollars’ worth of pledges and practical assistance from countries taking place. This assistance could not be channeled through Haiti’s government for reasons to be explained hence the west and like-minded donors channeled the funds through NGO’S hence during the period hundreds and hundreds of NGOs made their way into Haiti with a purpose of assistance (Dupuy 123).

In this thesis paper, I am going to review the effects of this NGO’s mediation in Haiti.
