The purpose of the qualitative thesis is to explain the reasoning, impacts, and outcomes behind using the descriptive IR theories in the European effort to problem solve political, economic, and social issues. Are the theories reflecting positive and/or negative impacts and outcomes on the European countries/communities? The theoretical term, ‘Euro crisis’ comes into play.International Relations (IR) – the study of international relations – is not reducible to what happens in particular countries; it is inclusive of what happens in particular countries.

In IR, any interest in the politics, economy, and social dynamics of other countries is often determined by the impacts or interactions in the international sphere or realms. It is also determined and shaped by international forces (both internal and external). IR is more than just foreign policy analysis, it is inclusive of foreign policy analysis and research studies of the sociological context. The EU actor, issues, structures, and freedoms of expression are vital components of the dialectic collaborations, discussions, and conferences concerning IR theories of globalization and fragmentation.

Surprisingly, the opinions and research analysis encompassing this IR theory have argued “that the rapid increase in cross-border exchange is civilizing, destructive, or feeble” (Hirschmann, A., 1982). The diverse theoretical lens is put into practice as various authors and researchers meaningfully and purposively share on the concept of globalization.“… Although there can be little doubt that as political reality has changed new theoretical and conceptual tools have become necessary to grasp it, we should not assume that the myriad changes to our world have rendered ‘traditional’ agenda and its theories obsolete”International relations theories are in-depth, influential realities of change that affect the peoples and lands of global regions.

As stated, by IR theorists and researchers, Devetak, Burke, and George (2011), it is now critically and vitally important to consider ‘traditional and new’ theories and issues of international relations. The relationships that develop are what construct the realism and liberalisms, foundationalism, and behaviouralism of a modern and postmodern, EU.
