Hitler Table of Contents Table of Contents 1 Introduction 2 The Bad Side Of Hitler 3 The Good Side Of Hitler 4 Conclusion 6 Works Cited 8 Introduction Adolf Hitler was a German politician and was also considered as a person liable for beginning World War II. Adolf Hitler was born in the year 1889 in Austria. He always wanted to be a painter and thus applied to get admission in a painting institution at Vienna but failed to pass the entrance examination. He applied for the entrance test second time in the year 1908 but was not even permitted to take the examination. After the death of his mother, Adolf Hitler generated hatred towards Jews and by 1910 his mind became completely distorted against Jews and transformed to be an anti–Semitism. At the outbreak of World War I, Adolf Hitler requested for granting special permission to serve the German military. The World War I had provided the opportunity for Adolf Hitler to increase his political strength and it was the beginning of his journey towards ultimate power (Simkin, “Spartacus Educational”). The Bad Side Of Hitler Adolf Hitler did many inhuman activities during his ruling years. One of his objectives was to eliminate the Jewish race. He tried to clasp the perspective of world that denied any personal god or supreme moral values (Weikart, “The Roots of Hitler's Evil”). He provided an unrealistic hope to the German people. Adolf Hitler came into power when the economic condition of Germany was bad and as a result of his stirring speeches the citizens saw him as a problem solver at that period of time. He was a power seeker and tried to eliminate a complete race. He was the major enemy of Jews race. He was liable for deaths of almost six million Jewish people. Adolf Hitler’s anti-Semitic obsession was not shared by the majority of people of Germany. People who view Hitler as a great leader considered the positive characteristics of him rather than his rage against Jews (Kershaw, “How Hitler Won Over the German People”). Adolf Hitler only left distress, sadness and agony as the legacy of his rule in Germany. He viewed himself ‘as a representative of wisdom, a man of fate whose prophecy of the future was reliable’ (Braunbeck, Jr, “A Military Leadership Analysis of Adolf Hitler”). He had the determination power as well as the administrative and the military perception to reestablish Germany to a fair position among other countries in the world. Adolf Hitler’s bad side can be depicted by his incapability to admit his faults to those people who did not agree with his thoughts, ideas, or decisions. Adolf Hitler behaved like a ruined kid and turned into a violent temper against the person who questioned his decision. Due to his bad nature, it was very hard to alter his mind after he made any decision or to transform his objectives that he sensed destined to accomplish, even if it was impossible or incorrect. Adolf Hitler had extreme distrust upon his commandants, which generated several arguments between him and his subordinates (Braunbeck, Jr, “A Military Leadership Analysis of Adolf Hitler”). Adolf Hitler had generated a “madman in power” image with his evil deeds. Besides Jewish people, many other people who were against him also faced incredible distresses, fears and deaths. He killed Jewish people because of his private will and wish. Adolf Hitler had the intention of increasing the territory as well as his political and economic power. He was characterized by three major behaviors which included: indifference, narrowness and lavishness (Coolidge & Et. Al., “Understanding Madmen: A DSM-IV Assessment of Adolf Hitler”). The Good Side Of Hitler Though the objective of Adolf Hitler was good, i.e. to take his country Germany to an honorable position in the world, his method was bad. A person who tries to make his nation a superlative country cannot be regarded as a bad person. His patriotism towards Germany is appreciated. He used the method of industrial rebellion to place Germany in the mind of people throughout the world and make its position in the globe. Today, Adolf Hitler is known as a powerful leader of that period of time. He had great visionary capabilities and had the potential to motivate people towards his vision. He tried to guide German people towards a great revelation and he had an objective to awake the German power in front of other countries. The most positive side of Adolf Hitler was his loyalty towards his country. Adolf Hitler can be regarded as one of the prime nationalists in the whole world. After the humiliating defeat of Germany in World War I, he sought to take revenge from the enemy countries. Rather than picking the path of harmony, he selected the path of hatred and battle. Adolf Hitler had created his own idyllic world for his nation. He protected the dedicated followers who had belief and trust on him. In his leading era, Adolf Hitler tried his best to deliver happiness to every people excluding Jews. The partiality in treating people, especially Jews differently was a major weakness of Adolf Hitler. Each person has their own personal cause to become bad. A person who turns out to be a killer, murderer, or corrupted has also a good side. At times, the corrupt environment itself compels a person to become bad. The ignorance about his own ability and ability of German people had made him so rude against the world. In the wartime Adolf Hitler said that, ‘in several countries German people work without any wages they deserve, their skills are acknowledged, but their work makes them an item of contempt to the persons whom they enrich with their performance’ (Enigma Books, “Hitler's Table Talk”). From the conversations, in ‘Table Talk’ it is evident that Adolf Hitler intended to make allies with England after winning the war, so that they can live in peace and the British citizens show respects to the Germans (Enigma Books, “Hitler's Table Talk”). During the World War I, when the economy of Germany collapsed and unemployment rate increased, Adolf Hitler attempted to provide jobs to the people and recover the economy of Germany. Conclusion Adolf Hitler’s hatred towards Jews and his intention to rule other countries was major contributing factors towards the deaths of millions of people. Though his patriotism for his country is praised by many people, he has been remembered more by the death of several people during his tenure as a ruler in which he had a major part to play. He promised to the citizens of Germany to provide employment and to make the country into a superpower, but his strategy was wrong. He tried to generate hatred towards Jewish people because of certain personal reasons and stated false vision to the people. His livelihood was described by political influence over Germany and the method by which he tried to accomplish his goals. Adolf Hitler possessed amazing ability as a speaker. It was a tool for political intoxication which helped to inspire the listeners to follow his vision. Adolf Hitler was focused by his fascination for power and his hunt for lebensraum to the level of reestablishing war in case his intentions could not be acquired by political ways. To obtain his objectives, Adolf Hitler had made several wrong moves. He also lost his support from German people and his comrades because of his wrong decisions. Today, many people consider Adolf Hitler as an ‘epitome of evil’ who started the Second World War. Though Adolf Hitler has great loyalty towards his country, he had no justifiable reason to kill so many Jewish people. His belief about superiority of Aryan race is also unrealistic. Adolf Hitler had also inspired the economy of Germany and helped Germany to recover from bad financial condition. His moves helped Germany to progress in terms of technology and transport system, but his aggressiveness towards capturing European nations had generated one of the most expensive wars in the world history.
