While at the Eastern Front disastrous defeat of the Nazi Germany in hands of the Soviet Union marked initiation of the fall of Hitler’s tyranny, on the other, the D-Day operation and three month long Normandy Campaign finally ensured that fall of the Third Reich is just a matter of time and humanity will have the scope to rebuilt the destruction that was inflicted during the six years of massive destruction that was never experienced before. The World War II is unanimously considered as one of the greatest events in the entire history of human civilization that cast an influence of largest magnitude in the transformation of the world from the perspective of Western socio-cultural discourse.

This war, with its 6 years of expanse not only altered people’s perception about society, culture, legality and humanitarian empathy, but from the perspective of orienting political diplomacy and providing the special focus on strategic improvisation during warfare, also received special attention. The Second World War not only cast a tremendous impact on the common perception of people about life and values but it also proved to be a war of strategies. While the first half of the war was essentially dominated by Nazi force and strategic advancement of Hitler’s generals, it was finally won by the Allies and the world was saved from Nazi brutality as strategic supremacy from the generals of Allies triumphed over Axis.

However, it cannot also be denied that in order to execute the application of such strategic plans to a success, bravery and commitment of soldiers for their mission also played a highly crucial part. The D-Day and Normandy Campaign is an important incident, which clearly shows that strategic planning of the Allies not only received an upper hand over Hitler’s plan to dominate the Atlantic but also the commitment of soldiers to take away occupation of the Normandy Beach from Nazi force under extreme hostile condition.
