Forum 17 The of the artwork selected is Mona Lisa. The Mona Lisa painting was created by the famous Leonardo Da Vinci (Fiero chapter 17). This piece of art has hit the global scene even after decades of its creation. This work is significant as it represents art that has been done with the greatest skills that bring out the meaning of the painting. From the painting skills of Da Vinci, one can easily see the glow of Mona Lisa’s skin and the manner in which her body has been painted. Her smile is sensual and would automatically attract lots of people to her.

Not forgetting her face that is sparkling, one can easily conclude that Leonardo took her time in the painting (Fiero chapter 17). The selection of colors fit the background of the painting and the painting is well proportioned in terms of its size. From these features, evidently the painting represents a major piece of art. What I find most outstanding about this art is the fact that it is real, the colors are attractive and the facial expressions of Mona Lisa do not escape my notice. The painting is simply exceptional as compared to others that I have seen.

However, I dislike the fact that the colors are too dull especially for a woman’s portrait. The background of this art work that I find interesting is its scenery setting. The background has some sort of mountains and a flowing river (Fiero chapter 17). This gives the art a touch of emotion especially with Mona Lisa in front of it.
