A.B.C X.Y.Z 28 April First and Second Punic War Punic wars were related among Rome and Carthage. This was a series which was the collection of three battles. This series is linked with 146 BC- 264 BC and people faced unlimited troubles in this matter. There were different reasons behind this series of war that can be realized with proper knowledge of history. The attainment of this knowledge can be performed with the use of modern technologies that are in the reach and access of all people and they can achieve their goals easily. Description of Carthaginian: Carthaginian is a specific term that is linked with explanation of Punic wars. According to historical facts, Punic word is derived from Latin word that is mentioned as “Punicus”. The meaning of Punicus is described as Carthaginian in the literature and dictionaries. Accordingly, Carthaginian is also linked with empire that was liked by majority of public in the social order. In the same way, the reasons of Punic wars are mentioned as complex of people about Carthaginian Empire and roman republic realm. So, Carthaginian is an imperative term that is linked with Punic wars and a researcher should understand this terminology to realize the scenario and causes of Punic wars. First Punic War: A major cause of this series is mentioned as trouble between two empires. In the meanwhile, Rome and Carthage were treated with each other in many financing and economical programs. These both empires were also related against territory of Pyrrhus. In the same way, Carthage rulers were also in the position to take the control of naval power in the western Mediterranean. This scenario was not acceptable for Roman Empire. In the same way, Carthage were struggling to take the control of all areas which was mentioned along various cities like Island, Sardinia, Corsica and limited spots of south Spain. This battle was also linked with the control of some Sicily cities that were beneficial for any empire to gain its development targets. After this condition, Roman rulers were also interested to take control of Sicily cities and this complex was the major reason of first Punic War. Accordingly, Roman rulers tried to take control of those cities and they were trying to increase their military strength for achievement of their specific targets in the Punic war. The same scenario was also related with Carthage rulers as they were interested to defeat Roman Empire by taking effective steps and they took. For instance, Carthaginians sent a huge force along with elephants and other relevant military material for certainty success and they achieved their goals. Through this war, Carthaginian took those steps which were linked to gain their financial benefits in the community. In the same way, Romans were also making agreement with other empire countries to make certain that they are attaining success against Carthaginian. According to the history of this war, an important army man was eliminated from the scene by making his murder; son of Hamilcar was also interested to take the charge of empire and this was performed by those persons easily as he was not faced by any enemy in this matter. In the same way, various supporters’ countries were also involved to make one party successful in this war. The strategy of dialogue was also performed by various stakeholders of these empires. This situation was favorable for both empires; so, they signed an agreement and a specific and important interval was brought in first and second Punic war due to this conformity. The role of Barcid Empire was also imperative in this war as this state gained various economic benefits by signing significant agreements about economical and financial resources. The impacts of these developing steps were also satisfactory as people were able to live with peace and prosperity but the sense of ruling is the cause of complex which was observed with the threat of second Punic war. This war was also held and people of both empires faced those complexities that are linked with their social and communal way of life without any reservation. Second Punic War: This war is also linked with empire states in the world; in this war, role of Hannibal was as important as he was fighting in various locations. The period of this war is mentioned as 201 BC – 218 BC. Accordingly, people of both empire states were troubled seriously as long period was related with the second Punic war. The impacts of this step on the economic, financial, cultural and historical scenarios of Carthaginian and Roman States was certain; these are easily observable for a student of history subject. Hannibal and Hasdrubal in second Punic war: Hannibal was a significant role in this war as he was participating in battle at different spots. According to history fact, he was fighting in Italy, Hispania and Sicily against Macedon which was also a popular solider. These three spots were most important for Roman Empire and Carthaginians were also fighting to take control of these areas. For gaining success in Italy, Hannibal played an imperative role and he defeated the army of Carthaginians. In the same way, Hispania which was second significant place, it was defended by Hasdrubal, he was brother of Hannibal. The third and last imperative place was mentioned as Sicily; it was protected because Roman military ruling was adjusted in this area already. So, it can be realized easily that Hannibal and Hasdrubal were central elements to win second Punic war in the favor of Roman Empire. Hannibal had also participated in various other imperative wars which were won by Roman Empire. These wars were also managed and lead by Hannibal. For instance, Battle of Trebbia, Battle of lake Transience and Battle of Cannae were also won by Roman rulers with participation of Hannibal. In the same way, Hannibal was also planning to gain the control of Rome and this planning was linked with his personality. In this program, Hannibal was unable to gain success as allegiance of other army soldiers with Rome empire was remained certain and obvious. So, this scenario was not in the favor of Hannibal and he gained failure in his purposes. At the end, some people supported Hannibal and he was leading a campaign that was as long as mentioned almost sixteen years in the history. Due to these surrounding the role of Hannibal`s army was not as effective as observed in previous war. So, his enemies started a fight and it was a difficult war for Hannibal. Consequently, he was defeated in this war and this battle is known as Battle of Zama in the History. The major cause of this defeat was mentioned as collection of all those parties which were against Hannibal. This situation can be realized with the role of Hasdrubal who was the brother of Hannibal and he played a significant role in the success of Roman Empire against Carthaginians at the spot of Hispania. Similarly, due to struggle of Hannibal against Rome; Hasdrubal also participated in defeat of Hannibal and gained those results which were expected according to planning at the place of Zama. So, it can be sated that second Punic war was also dangerous for human beings as this was started with elimination of fundamental rights of the public and the ending of this war was also mentioned as ending of humanity in the social order.
