Ronald Reagan and the Triumph of American ConservatismIn the book, Tygiel informs the readers how Ronald Reagan was once an ardent democrat in the politics of America but finally reconsidered his position and transferred to what he terms as the right side of the political spectrum. In the book, Reagan is demonstrated as having shown and demonstrated much allegiance to the teachings and the political maneuvers of Franklin D. Roosevelt (Tygiel, 67). He also had an absolute faith in the Way democratic party managed it political plans.

In the course of his life, he changed from being a democrat to be a republican and won the presidency while at the apex of conservative banner (Tygiel, 68). The book clearly accounts how Reagan won the presidency of the US at a time when the belief he was riding on was highly resented. The relevance of this story in the contemporary politics is that there should be a logical distinction of being passionate for something; this is to the extent that there should be a manifestation of self-conviction but not just being emotive at the altar of breathing hot but hollow anecdotic theories.

The story informs that in politics, one should be very analytical about their position as far as political parties are concerned. The topic has a political implication globally, it shows how in an organized, objective, and rational appeal to the electorate can create space for what seems to be impossible. It makes the readers believe in themselves and what they thing is right and stand by the self-conviction, pass it to others to see the sense and you will surely succeeds.Wok CitedTygiel, Jules.
